Summary

Team Weird is back causing havoc in the Time Police in this irresistible spin-off series by international best seller Jodi Taylor, author of the Chronicles of St Mary's. If you love Doctor Who, Ben Aaronovitch and Jasper Fforde, you'll love the Time Police.

The Time Police do not have problems. They have challenges.

Idiots who want to change history have always proved 'challenging'. But now temporal tourism is on the rise - highly illegal but highly lucrative. If you're prepared to take the risk.

To face down this threat the Time Police will despatch their toughest undercover agents. Which is fine until the unthinkable happens. Replacements are needed fast, and who better than three young officers who don't even look the part?

Step forward Jane, Luke and Matthew. They may be about to graduate, but there's still plenty of time for everything to go wrong. Throw in the Versailles time slip, a covert jump to ancient Egypt and a race against time itself and you've got yourself an assignment worthy of Team Weird.

Ever hilarious, wicked and brought to life 7th

Jodi Taylor has an amazing talent for bringing characters to life and hilariously relatable humour. The rampant rabbit and fire trucking off, stay in my head ( we have an accidentally house rabbit with a serious attitude problem) and yes I do get the other pleasant more reference. Angus the chicken is also on my giggle scale, mine was Maggie, who ran off down the garden with a lighted fag in her beak, literally sneaked silently into the house until caught out by the pecking noise in the cat food and almost got herself stewed when she actually nicked the beautifully home made burger out of your man's bun with that hilarious naughty chicken run. (accidental belligerent destructive house bunny and no longer hilarious chickens were the result of rescue attempts and fox attacks. Bunny is looking more and more attractive with onions and gravy as another cable bites the dust (aka fizzy hay) I digress, but jodi taylor nails the madness starts with f and ends in uck. I look forward to Matthew's character evolving. Love Luke because I know, "him" narcissistic, self absorbed..... I'm half way between Max and Jane and rather liking Imogen..Dont even get me started in the joy that is Markham. So much fun and adventure in these books and so much from just getting the characters . No animals were stewed, fried or baked in this comment. But I seriously need to get the bunny a boyfriend and stop the cable eating and hopefully fox proof befofe more chickens. Keeping a wicked sense of humour is almost in-line with the Ypres Times level and bless yo Jodi you are keeping me sniggering through working (and many don't have even have that luxury, - including my children) from home and sick of my own company. I missed world mental health day to suggest the giggles from your books, but for firetruck how did the appalling 50 shades of make a bestseller list

Overall I enjoyed it

Bit of a slow start and the characters grow on you, love Zara’s narration as always. And as I’m a big fan of Jodi and her stories I can’t wait for the next instalments of either TP or st Mary’s.

2nd Time Police

This is the second book in the time police series sees team weird getting into more trouble but coming up smelling of roses. It has a pacey story line and inventive expanding of characters as usual skillfully narrated by Zara Ramm makes this a very worthwhile read. Ms Jodi Taylor once sgain drlivers the goods in a superb way.

An Amazing Spin Off!

I would never have thought that I would LOVE a series as much as The Chronicles of St. Mary's BUT the Ţime Police series was promising from the first 'page'. Narrator Zara Ramm does both series absolutely top quality credit. Loved hearing about Max and Leon's curious son, Matthew's life at TPHQ and the BEST part is the inclusion of St. Mary's. Please keep worrying Jodi, we love you!!

Brilliant, funny and at times, gut churning

Another great addition to the series. I loved the character development, particularly of North who, on at least one occasion, made me snort my coffee. It felt fresh and new and I remain well and truly hooked!

Shame about the editing mistakes

Another gripping and amusing tale from Jodi Taylor and enthralling interpretation from Zara Ramm. Shame therefore that there are several editing errors where text is repeated and erroneous speech included.

Excellent addition to the series!!!

I'm really enjoying this Time Police series. I hope there are more to come. Narrator is outstanding as usual. If you love the St. Mary's series you will love this one too.

Actually Snorted Outloud

Jodi Taylor’s twist on time travel is chock full of pop culture references that a Sci-fi/fantasy nerd like myself eats up! The dialogue is witty, sarcastic, and exactly how I would write dialogue if I were a talented writer, which I’m not, but exactly the same. Listening to Zara Ramm’s narration is simply delightful. I get lost in the story and am never yanked out by a badly voiced character or mispronounced word. Enchanting from beginning to end!

Great

it was a good story and I love her stories. I do love the Saint Mary's base stories a bit better though... vs the time police series.

Team Wierd is "Fire-Trucking" Fantastic!

Jodi Taylor's second book about the Time Police and the antics of Team Wierd did not disappoint. It was imaginative, satirical and hilarious. There were a few serious parts in the story, but it did not diminish the exciting and entertaining plot. The addition of a cliffhanger was wonderful. I can't wait for the next adventure of this team. Zara Ramm's performance was phenomenal.

Hard Time is another excellent tale by Jodi Taylor. Good plot, fun characters and enough descriptions to pull you in and not bog you down. I can’t wait for the next installment.

Team Weird returns for a second story

The misadventures of the trio known as Team Weird continue as they complete their Time Police training. Enter an old flame of luke's marooned in the past. From there the team is pulled into an undercover operation where they have no backup. With the skills of this team, what could possibly go wrong? Oh, an St Mary's lends a hand as well in their typical fashion. The Time Police may not ever be quite the same. Humor. Action. Intrigue. It's all here. Recommended to fans of the St Mary's and Time Police books. Can't wait for the next book.

Wonderful fun

Have read all of the Chronicles of St Mary's, and so had a rather negative view of the Time Police. There are now two Time Police novels, and I cannot wait for the next one. Sadly, Jodi Taylor cannot write as fast as I can listen. Zara Ramm's narration is, as always, spot on in voice, tone, and pace. Wonderful fun.

How does she do it?

Jodi Taylor scores again with a fabulous Team 236 story! Love how she weaves characters into her stories and can’t wait for them return in this Time Police series. Can I just put in a standing preorder for every new book in this series?

Fire trucking good time!

As always, Ms Taylor delivers the goods. It is nice to see Team 236 stretching their legs into more chaos, adventure, and witty repartee. The world of St Mary’s and the Time Police seems like the time to be... though I am firmly in Team St Mary’s camp!

Excellent. Jodi does it again

I loved this second book in the Time Police series. So much so that I listened to it again right after I finished the first reading.
