Summary

Freshly respawned.

Far from home.

All alone.

Up until now, Montana's journey really only went one direction: up. But now he's back at square one, stuck on top of a mountain with only the most basic gear to help get him back to Coggeshall. It's going to be a long walk.

But not a boring one.

In one of LitRPG's most legendary medieval fantasy road trips (and also possibly the only one), Montana encounters a pack of just-this-side-of-feral wolf people; a town straight out of the Wild West - complete with heavy-handed sheriff; a lion desperately trying to take down a colossal fish monster; ancient cursed ruins; and a giant flying frog.

Eastbound and Town is an epic story full of combat, loot, and achievements. You better believe Montana is loaded up and truckin' and gonna do what they say can't be done.

Underwhelming but entertaining

Love the entire series, but nothing really happens here, it feels like a filler episode. Hoping for something more in the next one

TOO DAMN SHORT!

I am absolutely in love with both this series and its co-series (Bad Guys). I read the books immediately after they release and drop all other audiobooks to binge these when ever a new one is available. The story is great and the dialogue is perfect...however the biggest flaw of EVERY single one of these books is that they are WAY TOO SHORT!..plz plz plz Eric, when your final books in these two series are released the audiobooks NEED to be more then 8hrs. 12 would be nice, 16-20 would be perfect. Other then that I can't recommend this book and series enough.

So good

I love this series, every bit of it. I will say that while a lot happens in this book, its definitely the setup for big things to come.

What a turn it took

So this took a turn around with the mind games. If you do not really pay attention I think you'll miss some important things happening. No idea where they are heading to next.

Feels like half a book

I'm really enjoying the story, and I feel ok recommending the series, but I feel like each installment is half a book. It rankles a bit. Do with that information what you will.

Sigh

Ok I love this series and the quirky cast of misfits. But, there are so many holes and nothing ever seen to get done. I realize the fact that Montana is a bit scatter brained is part of why we love him but damn. Can he accomplish something before the book ends? I am so freaking frustrated with this. We are eight books in and he doesn’t finish or complete anything. He doesn’t try to educate himself. Kudos on the fact that he doesn’t want to kill everything and kudos to the narrator. That’s all the kudos though. Come on E.U. You can do better.

love Eric and Neil

the best audio books I have read. The best narration and that's impressive because before it was Nick podehl. just flawless. I never zone out or get bored and I laughed constantly because this is the way that real humans think and actually speak. so many other books are just downright boring or hard to focus or even give a crap. The only flaw is that I always want more and wish the books were 20 hours long. I understand there's a lot of demand and it takes a very long time to write something so great and will buy every single book even if this series is 25 long. just always want more which I suppose is a good thing and why this book gets five stars

Short, but oh so very sweet!

I am ok with how short these books are if Eric pumps them out as fast as he does! I mean other then The Land I don’t know of a more entertaining LitRPG series. Just so fun, so entertaining, always want more!
