Summary

Freshly respawned.

Far from home.

All alone.

Up until now, Montana's journey really only went one direction: up. But now he's back at square one, stuck on top of a mountain with only the most basic gear to help get him back to Coggeshall. It's going to be a long walk.

But not a boring one.

In one of LitRPG's most legendary medieval fantasy road trips (and also possibly the only one), Montana encounters a pack of just-this-side-of-feral wolf people; a town straight out of the Wild West - complete with heavy-handed sheriff; a lion desperately trying to take down a colossal fish monster; ancient cursed ruins; and a giant flying frog.

Eastbound and Town is an epic story full of combat, loot, and achievements. You better believe Montana is loaded up and truckin' and gonna do what they say can't be done.

Underwhelming but entertaining

Love the entire series, but nothing really happens here, it feels like a filler episode.
Hoping for something more in the next one

Another third of a book about a fatuous moron.

I think this is the most frustrating series I’ve ever read. It’s only able to achieve this top tier status because the overall story and adventure aspects are so good. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be frustrating because I would have stopped listening after the first two books.

Now a direct message to Ugland and/or his publisher.:

F*ck you... try releasing a full book.

...or at the very least, release publisher packs like almost every other author on audible who likes to cut their books into thirds for print release.

Releasing obviously larger books in truncated thirds is a shitty abuse of your listeners.

When you release two “book-lets” less than 3 weeks apart there’s really nothing you can say that will convince us that you’re not just making a cash grab at our expense.

I support all my favorite authors on Patreon and I’m sure I’m not the only one. But your business model has convinced me to make an exception in your case.

Given that I’ve now paid 9 credits for 3 credits worth of actual audiobooks I think I’m just going to find a way to get your work for free from now on...

Thanks for the stories, but no thanks for the thinly veiled cash grab.

TOO DAMN SHORT!

I am absolutely in love with both this series and its co-series (Bad Guys). I read the books immediately after they release and drop all other audiobooks to binge these when ever a new one is available. The story is great and the dialogue is perfect...however the biggest flaw of EVERY single one of these books is that they are WAY TOO SHORT!..plz plz plz Eric, when your final books in these two series are released the audiobooks NEED to be more then 8hrs. 12 would be nice, 16-20 would be perfect.
Other then that I can't recommend this book and series enough.

So good

I love this series, every bit of it. I will say that while a lot happens in this book, its definitely the setup for big things to come.

What a turn it took

So this took a turn around with the mind games. If you do not really pay attention I think you'll miss some important things happening.

No idea where they are heading to next.

Feels like half a book

I'm really enjoying the story, and I feel ok recommending the series, but I feel like each installment is half a book. It rankles a bit. Do with that information what you will.

Sigh

Ok I love this series and the quirky cast of misfits. But, there are so many holes and nothing ever seen to get done. I realize the fact that Montana is a bit scatter brained is part of why we love him but damn. Can he accomplish something before the book ends? I am so freaking frustrated with this. We are eight books in and he doesn’t finish or complete anything. He doesn’t try to educate himself. Kudos on the fact that he doesn’t want to kill everything and kudos to the narrator. That’s all the kudos though. Come on E.U. You can do better.

enjoy this author Eric ugland

these books are fun romp have plenty of ups and downs activity at any given moment towards the end you think you've reached the end of the Cliffhanger and yet Austin there's another cliffhanger.
