I really like Bretta, she is smart, driven and determined to succeed, no matter how many hurdles are thrown her way. Alec is a godsend, he has knowledge of the trade, but doesn't want to take over her business. He happy to work alongside her as she makes the decisions, only giving his opinion when asked. They have an easy trust and understand each other in a way nobody else does and when danger and questions come calling...they stand together.
And the truth finally surfaces....freeing them both. This is a lovely friend's to forever sweet romance, a great addition to the series, which I listened to on Audible.

The truth can only be buried for so long!

This is a pleasant enough romance with a bit of a mystery but the link to the suffrage movement is very slight! The christian element is also very lightweight.
The narrator does a good job though.
