Great narrator as always but took me a while to get used to the different detective. A decent story and I will try second book.

The narrator’s accent which was more Edinburgh/west coast than Dundee and Angus was off putting. Especially when trying to emulate the lowlife characters and gave them a more weegie nasal voice. Angus is normally very good in the other Ed James stories but not in this one.

Strong theme and good overall story idea, but as the book developed (and got more complicated) I felt increasingly that it would have been impossible to cram all that work into one evening. Poor Vicky was back and two across several locations in one evening and it felt a bit ridiculous. But overall it was worth a listen. Angus King brilliant narrator as always.

Is the narration on this a joke? Every time I put it on I cringed at the male voices. Extremely off putting.
