An utterly binge-worthy crime thriller full of suspense

A body in a bunker. A killer back from the past. A daughter doubting her father.

When a body turns up in a golf course bunker, covered in blood and sand, DS Vicky Dodds must switch from her usual Dundee patch to search for a murderer in her home town of Carnoustie.

But when a second, connected body is found, Vicky must confront the one who got away from someone close to her—the serial killer her ex-cop father lost his mind hunting down back in the 90s.

As Vicky is torn between her job and her family life, other figures come out of the past.

But can she stop this killer before he strikes again?

From the acclaimed Scottish Crime author of the DI Fenchurch series, Flesh & Blood is an unyielding police procedural that fearlessly examines whether the past should remain dead and buried, and is perfect for fans of Ian Rankin, Stuart Macbride, LJ Ross and JD Kirk.

Little over the top in areas - luckily (mostly) people are not that depraved. But on the whole a good listen and we learn more about the characters.

Always a good listen.

As always, Angus King doing his brilliant narration.
The story was good, but one part was totally unnecessary!

Another good listen.

Anything with Angus King narrating you know will be good - really enjoyed this (although some characters are sooo infuriating) so great writing made me want to throat punch Alan 😆😆😆

A new series for me and very enjoyable

Another excellent book in this series & very well narrated by Angus King.
(For me I’m hoping that one of the continuing story arcs regarding DS Dodds doesn’t become a ‘bore’. No spoiler. So fingers crossed).
