In the Dark Time of midwinter, disaster strikes the Forest. Chaos rules. Bears woken from their dens prowl the shadowy valleys. Desperate clans battle for survival. Only demons thrive.
With their world in turmoil, Torak, Renn and Wolf are tested as never before. And as a new evil haunts the devastated land, Torak must risk his sanity, his life and even his souls to save everything he loves...

It’s a job to say for sure, because they are all so magnificent but I think it’s my favourite. Ian McKellen has the voice of an angel, that one could never get tired of listening too. I have the new book’Wolfbane’ sitting in my library ready to start tomorrow night, I’m excited but also feeling a bit sad, as this is the last book in the series. So no more Torak, Renn ,Wolf ,Fin Kedinn ,Dark and all the other wonderful characters.
A truly fantastic listen, I really do advise anyone looking for a new audio book try out Wolf Brother , and you will soon be hooked !
Super listening

Audiobook narrated by Ian McKellen.
A solid new Chronicles of Ancient Darkness story and a much darker one. A great disaster occurs and we see our main characters as well as all the clans struggle with the huge changes that occur.
The Good:
- A new and interesting direction for the series executed well
- The elements of magecraft included were interesting and imaginative.
- Due to the events of the past year, it was easy to see and understand how different characters reacted to the catastrophic opening events.
- The villain had developed and it will be intruiging how the overarching plot will develop.
What Could Have Been Better?:
- As with Viper's Daughter, very slight pacing issues.
I'm excited for the next installment which should be out Spring 2022.
