Great first book!
What an absolutely gem of a first book in the briar hall series. This book has it all, the female lead is a refreshingly strong one who doesn’t take the rubbish that’s sent her way! Yeah the males are typical alpha holes but that just makes you want to find out the story!
Bridget and jake once again have brought this story to life and well….. love love love how their voices make you cook up a hot and steamy image of the characters!

What an enticing story
Book 1 in the series . Wow what a story that will grab you from the beginning and hold your attention till the end .. Elena Lawson knows how to write a very detailed story and strong characters. This reverse harem has lots of twists and turns.
The boys rule the school and do what they want. The boys meet Ava Jade in the back of an ally until she shows up at school and that’s where all the fun starts. All I can say grab the listen and see what fuss the four of them get into. Wow what a cliffhanger. Can’t wait for book 2
Jake and Bridget Bordeaux brought this story to life. Love how you were able to tell who each character is by their tone . Their voices are strong and smooth and clear. Perfect for this story.

Fast-paced and action-packed 🔥❤️
Really enjoyed the first book of the series. A strong female character who doesn’t take any nonsense. Finally, a book where the female doesn’t pander to everything a guy says. I'm now moving on to the next book. The third book hasn’t been released yet on audio and the fourth book isn’t out until summer 2022, so there will be a bit of a wait to complete the story.
Loved the narration, the narrators do a great job in bringing the story to life.

Dark, witty, strong female lead
The story is well thought out, not your typical bully romance.
Looking forward to book two!
I enjoy an audio book at any given opportunity! I’m a community nurse so I tend to listen on the drive between patients. I also listen while cooking, cleaning and doing busy jobs around the house.
The narrators really make this book incredible via audio.
Audio can sometimes be difficult as the narration needs to be something you can get on board with. I am yet to come across a Bordeaux narration that I do not love.
Fantastic at providing a performance full of emotion. The speed of the narration is perfect and the way it’s delivered just makes me fall in love with the characters! What I love most about both narrators is how they are able to give such a different performance for each character, to the point that I can pick up the book after hours and know the characters voice straight off.

Start with a Bang
This story was gripping from the very beginning and has everything we know and love in this genre. Bridget and Jake are the dynamic duo that put everything into their performances and this was no different whatsoever, they nailed it. I can’t wait to continue with Book Two!

Love this dark RH
Loved loved loved this dark contemporary RH. This book absolutely killed it! This dark captivating read has amazing such incredible chemistry between AJ the FMC and her guys and the steam is hawt!! AJ will not be pushed around by anyone she is fierce, fiery, sassy and strong. The crows have their eyes set on her and want to push her to her limits. As part of a gang they only know this life of darkness which AJ wants nothing to do with. I can’t wait to see how these relationships develop. This book is a definite page turner, one that you really don’t want to miss! Couldn’t be happier that this amazing book had been bought alive by two fantastic narrators Bridget and Jake Bordeaux

Addictive listening!
I'd read this story a while back but never managed to finish the series and I'm glad I've waited for the audio because hot daymn!
A story that doesn't let you go, has you on the edge of your seat and breathless with anticipation. I loved all the twists, the mystery that still surrounds AJ and her background and the glimpse into each Crow.
The performances were sublime, each guy having their own distinct voice and the emotion in AJ's was breathtaking. I loved the fact it was duet, and cannot wait to hear what happens next!

Terrific Story & Narration🎧 Captivating & Intense!
You know you are going to be for a dark and twisted ride when the book’s summary starts off with this: “Unapologetically f*cked up. Heartlessly cruel. Broken beyond repair.” This is my first book written by Elena Lawson and it will not be my last, she has a gifted author with a fabulous writing style, the characters and storylines she created are original and interesting. The story grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it the entire book. And that ending, wow, I am looking forward to what comes next for Ava Jade Mason, the badass lead female. Ava did not have the best upbringing or the easiest of lives, her last year of H.S. was supposed to be an easy one, she’d hang low, get good grades and then head off to college and freedom. She had not expected Corvus, Rook and Grey aka “The Crows”, students in her school who practically run it. She is used to bullies and gang members and she will not let them intimidate her one bit. The Crows intended to break her, but they met no one like her, so they had a change of plans. Once Ava realized her hanging low would not happen, she had to change her plans too, she would not let “The Crows” control her and needed leverage to get them to stand down. She learns not is all as it seems, but she finds out too late and she is in too deep. This is an amazingly dark and twisted enemies-to-lovers reverse harem romance, the story is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, action, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and a slow burn and steamy reverse harem romance. Elena Lawson thank you for this great story, I hope the rest of the series comes to audio soon.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Elena Lawson chose the perfect cast to bring her characters and their story to life. Bridget Bordeaux and Jake Bordeaux are talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They have a complete understanding of the characters they portray, give each a voice that fits that character’s persona to a tee and are believable in every role they play, sounding just as I pictured the characters to sound. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotion, their passion and angst, and projected it all into their performance. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances a great story to another level of greatness.

Setting you up
This book 1 seems like it setting you up for a bigger story. You meet the characters, you get some back story then events lead you to a cliffhanger which feels like will really be the meat of the story. Book 2 is going on my TBR list!
