Detective Chief Inspector Roberta Steel got caught fitting up Jack Wallace - that's why they demoted her and quashed his sentence. Now he's back on the streets, and women are being attacked again. Wallace has to be responsible, but if Detective Sergeant Steel goes anywhere near him, his lawyers will get her thrown off the force for good. The Powers That Be won't listen to her, not after what happened last time. According to them, she's got more than enough ongoing cases to keep her busy.

The story of a relationship that everyone thought was forever and which is now in danger of being for never, The Break is about getting older and staying in love when life, real life, is trying to pull you apart.
I have always liked Marian Keyes and read all her books.
This was no different.

What made the experience of listening to A Dark So Deadly the most enjoyable?
The usual narrator from Steve Macbrides other books. Made it a continuous flow from Logan. The small references to other character should from the previous book was great. I thought l had solved it numerous times but ohh no.
Who was your favorite character and why?
DC macgregor and also Mother.
What about Steve Worsley’s performance did you like?
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Oh yes. I was saving it to listen to on my holidays but could not wait.
Any additional comments?
When is the next one.

I downloaded this book quite a while ago and forgot about it. Just finished and boy was it a good buy. Enjoyed every minute of it. Great story, sad, funny, kept me on my toes and made me cry. Look forward to the next one.
Adrian McKinty was born in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland. He studied politics and philosophy at Oxford before moving to America in the early 1990s. Living first in Harlem, he found employment as a construction worker, barman, and bookstore clerk. In 2000 he moved to Denver to become a high school English teacher and it was there that he began writing fiction.
A cracking book with a really good story. Really enjoyed it and next two downloaded.
The Intersolar Commonwealth is in turmoil as the Living Dream’s deadline for launching its Pilgrimage into the Void draws closer. Not only is the Ocisen Empire fleet fast approaching on a mission of genocide, but also an internecine war has broken out between the post-human factions over the destiny of humanity.
All three books are great. It's a long story and you have to concentrate but it was a good ending
The waiting room stands on a crumbling railway platform at the edge of a retired rock star’s vast estate. Abandoned to dereliction and isolated by a moat of thorny wilderness, it used to be a playground for his children. Until strange music and the terrifying spectre of a leering soldier frightened them away. Julian Creed is TV’s most popular ghost hunter. Only his small production team knows he is a complete fake who doesn’t even believe in the paranormal. Until he spends one night in the waiting room.
I downloaded this book and was a little disappointed. Had two books on the go and both ended up being supernatural. Don't think l will bother with anymore
