Loved sawyer Bennett's Legal Affairs series, and this story in my opinion is equally as good, if not better. I loved Cal Carson from the get-go and I..Show More » loved his POV very much. Macy is a little more complex and I'm intrigued as to what has happened in her past. Macy's POV is slightly different too, it's written as a diary entry, I love it. The chemistry between them is literally off the charts, and I just love the enemies to lovers theme. A shame it's so short, on the plus side books 2 and 3 are twice as long. Book 2 here I come.
Book 2 in Cal and Macy's story does not disappoint. Combustible sex scenes, highly interesting storyline, and even a little tenderness. Then we have..Show More » the surprise ending, intrigue at its most entertaining, and I know I'm going to be reading book 3 this evening. Just like book 1 the story is told mainly from Cal's POV (he is just THE perfect book boyfriend), it also still has Macy's diary entries which just make me need to know more about what makes her tick. I'm sure that Cal will stand by Macy no matter what, the question is, will Macy let Cal in? I sure hope so. I just love Sawyer Bennett's writing.
This is the 3rd book in the Cal and Macy story trilogy, and as such the previous 2 books should be read first. And. Whoa! What an end! I wasn't e..Show More »xpecting the shock factor to be quite so high! But, yep, it was. My heart really went out to Macy and everything that she dealt with in regards to her dreadful family. Of course her 'big secret' took a while to come out fully in the storyline. I was kept in the dark, guessing, and thinking that maybe Macy was being a bit of a drama queen. I felt she owed Cal a little bit more of herself. Well hell. How wrong was I? I absolutely loved this final book in the Cal and Macy trilogy, a firm winner for me and quite the grand finale for the Legal Affairs series. Fantastic.
