Story’s great

I read the book version years ago and it always stuck with me. Stiefvater creates the most vividly world of the sea horses and the characters.
The minor let down was the male voice actor who I thought sounded too old for the character.

Amazing reading of my favourite book

I previously read this book and decided to listen to it as a reread. Absolutely loved it, the narrators are perfect and the music included matches perfectly. Such an amazing story

One of the best novels i ever read

This is my third or fourth visit back to the island of the water horses. Because this is a book set in November, it has become a part of my calendar. It is magical and sombre and thrilling. You will finish this book feeling the wind blow salty hair across your face, smelling the kelp on the slippery rocks and probably in floods of tears. Like i said - one of the best novels i ever read (or listened to). It is utterly unique and haunting and superb.

Amazing!

I suddenly remembered this book sometime last week, i havent read or thought of it for years- ive never used audible either until now as i prefer to read.
However this was absolutely amazing, i found myself listening whilst doing makeup, in the car or waling my dog, the book was exactly how you would imagine it to be, voices and all. Would highly recommend.

A great and wholesome world built

It took a while to get into and then became utterly enchanting and difficult to stop. I loved the mythology and world building the opening was a wee bit slow but worth sticking around for. The authors note at the end made me want to 5 star it - very interesting!

My All Time Favourite Book

This book is my all time favourite, it has inspired me to write, helped me persevere through health problems and it even helped me to recover after several serious operations.

So to be able to listen to my favourite book read so perfectly whenever and wherever is amazing. I love books but one thing that always bugs me is how much room they take up in your bag or how you can't really do other things while you're reading.

Thanks to this audiobook I can have The Scorpio Races within reach for all of those long car journeys, long nights of insomnia or uni work and even just to pick me up when I'm feeling down.

My new favourite by Stiefvater

I absolutely loved this book, the celtic inspired setting and the water horse myth were expertly done. The two main characters are so fully formed they're practically real people, and the horses had their own distinct personalities too, as did the island. I was completely absorbed and couldn't stop listening but didn't want it to end. If you like YA fantasy, myths and legends with only a hint of romance you'll love this book. The narrators were fantastic and really brought the characters to life. I can't recommend it enough!

An engaging story

This was a fantastic and thrilling story.I loved the idea of the water horses and like her other work The Scorpio Races is full of flawless prose and engaging characters.
I found that the narration was sometimes a little stilted and that is honestly my only critique of this book.
