Brimming with new ideas for magical research, Emily returns to Whitehall School for her second year of magical education, looking forward to returning to her studies. And yet things are different; her new roommates harbor their secrets, her old friends are becoming distracted by sports and games, and one of the teachers seems to dislike her. As she starts new classes, she discovers she has to work far harder to keep her place in the school.
But her second year will be far more adventurous than her first. When it becomes clear that there is a murderer - and a spy - in the school, Emily will be the only one who can save the school from a plot aimed right at the heart of the Allied Lands themselves. And yet her curiosity may very well prove her undoing.

A good enough story but just getting a little familiar and unmoving. I enjoy the series and look forward to the next episode. I just want to see the 'Child of Destiny' actually do something exciting for once.
"Number Three in great series. "
Excellent narration by Tavia Gilbert great voices for the characters in the story. I also appreciate that she is the continuing narrator for this series.
I wish that Audible had a waiting list so that we would be notified when the next book in the series is released.
This series is a fun read and a real treat to listen to. The story flows smoothly characters keep their individuality and believability.
I was sorely disappointed when I could not purchase book four
Emphatically yes on the entire series so far and of course start with book one. this story does stand by itself still it is so much better if you start at the beginning .
I really want more of these books to listen to they are fun and a little scary too but I'm very happy with the author and the reader of these books I hope for more of the same kind of story line soon
"amazing sequel to the first and second"
I don't normally do reviews because I get embarrassed very easily at what I write. But this one is an exception. it was so good I couldn't let it go. I even found a way to listen to it at work. it was an amazing follow story to the high action second book. although it had a similar feel to a particular Harry Potter book(heck it's even referenced in there), but I won't say witch because spoilers.
Thank you for a great book and a great performance.
an admiring fan
i have enjoyed this series a lot, it's a fresh take on a similar theme that we've seen before, but it's not predictable
"Again best series ever"
I love this book series and think you will too.
I received this book free in return for a unbiased review.
I think the thing that irritated me the most about this book was that apparently the adults in this world are not capable of coming up with any ideas on their own. The first 2 books were OK but this one really was just not for me anymore. Geared very much toward younger readers.
love the series, when will the other books be released? I can't wait to hear the rest of the series, great story, and preformance.
I really enjoyed the book. can I can't wait till the next one comes out. actually I can't wait till the whole series is finished and released to audiobook
"Emily's Latest Adventure"
Study in Slaughter is book 3 of Schooled in Magic series on audio. There will be more to come. I am happy since this story was at least as good as the first two. Emily meets a shape shifter in 2nd year. There are new teachers and new students to meet. Well worth a credit.
