Summary
From Lane Moore, the critically acclaimed author of How to Be Alone, comes a searingly intimate, yet wildly funny exploration of the frustrating, messy, and, at times, deeply joyful experience of learning how to make meaningful friendships as an adult.
Part memoir, part self-help, You Will Find Your People uncovers the complex, frightening, and often vulnerable process of building real, healthy friendships and finally creating your chosen family. Moore takes listeners on a journey that examines and challenges the ideas of friendship we’ve seen in pop culture, answers every question you’ve ever had about friend breakups, and teaches us how to fearlessly ask for what we want in friendships once and for all.
Full of Moore’s hilarious personal anecdotes, advice on how to identify your attachment style, and real tools to create better communication and boundaries, this book is your personal guide on how to heal from your past friendships, improve your current ones, and finally have the friendships we know we deserve.

She becomes your best friend real fast.
After only just finishing “how to be alone” I was so happy to find out there was a sequel right around the corner. How to be alone I have reread 3 times in the space of 2 months. Lane gets us in a way our brains try to make us think we might be crazy. She speaks to the parts of us nobody has ever understood. She speaks to us. Promise I’m not a cult leader for her I’m just very happy about finding her. I suggest the audio books for walks because I am 27lbs down from soaking up this content. And the physical books to be used as diaries. I’m not usually a reviewer (at least not for anything good) so please believe me. And lane if you read this… you are magic.

Illuminating, but not instructive
I analysed the first few chapters with my therapist. It was very illuminating. I was really looking for more practical help, but I enjoyed the read.

strange hybrid of manual and reminiscences
I struggled to finish this one - it feels like an analysis of friendship with anecdotes thrown in, but with very limited "how to find your people" help!

Very pleasant listen but not helpful
The focus of this book seems to be a lot more about setting personal boundaries within existing friendships and is very relatable in tone but has pretty much no advice on meeting people and how to make connections, which is what I downloaded it for.
Still very fun to listen to and the author's narrating is great
