Summary
Here’s the problem: When Rox was hired, she told her smoking-hot boss Cash that she was married, but she’s not.
Now, three years later, she’s kind of accidentally living with him, and he’s being a perfect gentleman, dang it.
Everybody in the office said that Cash was a heartbreaker, that he’d bump her and dump her, so Rox decided not to become a statistic. She went out and bought herself some rings of the finest cubic zirconia so that she could work with Cash, who was several inches over six feet tall, emerald-eyed, ripped, gorgeous, his tailored suit clinging to his athletic body, sporting a British accent, and loaded.
It had seemed like such a good idea at the time.
But now, three years later, she and Cash have become friends. They travel together for work often, and they’re the best of buddies. When Rox gets thrown out of her apartment, Cash insists that she come live with him until they can find her a place because that’s what friends do.
Now, even though everyone insists that Cash never goes after married women, something about him has changed. There are little touches, little slips, and Rox is more and more tempted to tell hunky, gorgeous Cash that she never was married.
And then, he’ll take her and break her, and then he’ll walk away, and then she’ll lose her job, and she still hasn’t found a place to live.
And yet, every time he looks at her with mischief in his dark green eyes, every time they’re teasing and it somehow turns into tickling, every time she swats at him and somehow ends up in his arms, she wants so much to risk everything.
What’s a working stiff to do when she falls in love with her friend, the boss?

This audio will work on your heart
Love this listen . It’s a slow burn love story . There are some funny moments that had me laughing my head off Especially with some cats screams . Both Characters are strong willed . The author wrote a strong story with many levels. The story will have you guessing till the very end . What is Casmir hiding . You will wonder when Casmir will tell Rox who he real is . What I love more is both Cash and Rox have a real relationship between both of them . Yes Rox is a paralegal for Cash but they never crossed the line until well into the story . I had to get the story once I saw Joe was the narrator.
Joe Arden performance was perfect . Love how he did the accents , British, and a Dutch . He’s female voice was great .

This is one of my most favourite books to read! 📚 The chance to listen it come to life in another's voice, other than the ones in my head, was too exciting to pass up!🎧
Cash & Rox have a fabulous working relationship, he's a hotshot L.A Lawyer & she's his Paralegal. In fact, due to his dating practices & her very 'fake marriage' she was the only Paralegal he'd work with & she was safe from his lady killer ways precisely because of her fake wedding rings - he NEVER touched married women!😉 So although Rox lusted after him privately it could never amount to anything even if his gaze ever happened to swing her way!🙈 They were the perfect Work Husband & Wife but that was all ..... Right??😳
One immediate eviction notice, one kindly offer from a dear friend and one car accident later things had become a LOT more complicated!!🔥😍💥Boy, does Cash/ Casimir/ Caz have some secrets!😲 His two bestfriends, Arthur & Maxence, really set the 'cat amongst the pigeons' for this couple too.😂 I loved those two guys!🔥🙏💙
Nefarious & deadly plots are in play, can our pair survive & become more?🙏💕
I thought, overall, the Narrator did a really good job. His 'Rox' & 'Maxence' voices were particularly good 👍 He mispronounced a number of words which dragged me out of the story, much like a bad spelling mistake or big grammatical error might in a written book!😟 However, they are fairly obscure-ish words & I'm English so we may just pronounce them differently?!🙈
One thing I noticed in the Audiobook, that I hadn't really noticed whilst I was reading it, was how many times Rox put herself down regarding her weight.😢 I knew it was an issue about herself that she was dealing with. It certainly didn't impact her professional standing in any way, but I suppose having the same problem myself, but it made me wince internally every time she called herself 'Chubby'!!🙈😕 I hasten to add, No one else ever mentioned it, it was definitely her own internal problem! This is just a personal observation!
I really enjoyed hearing this book and look forward to part two - Hard Work.😍
I highly recommend this Audiobook.🎧🌹🎉

Delightfully Unexpected
I had absolutely no idea what to expect from this book. I received a code for it and because I adore Joe Arden's narration i jumped at the chance to have him in my ears for 12 + Hours. Man oh Man I was not disappointed. Did you know Joe Arden could do European / British accents? I had no idea and it was a welcome surprise! Right out of the gate the narration was on point. Now a good narration in a book can only get you so far. You also need a good story and this one had so much drama I was on edge the whole time! Secrets and Mysteries, espionage and danger, there was about 2 hours towards the end where my heart was racing and I could not stop listening. This book is a hands down must listen, because it has a little something for everyone.

Fantastic can’t rate it high enough
Ok this book was one of those over the top books that you just crave more of. The characters were larger than life and so well developed they were intriguing and enjoyable.
The storyline was so exciting that I just kept listening even though I did not have time to be listening. The side characters are so entertaining and solid characters too. I can’t wait to see what they get up to
I Loved the narrators accents and the personality he added to the characters and as an interesting note only 1 out my of 8 kittens didn’t love his voice the others curl up on and around my phone whilst this book was playing so I think that speaks highly of his abilities.

Unexpected but so much fun
I requested and received this audiobook and this is the first book I've read/listened to by Blair Babylon and I loved it. It was unexpected- I don't actually know what I expected but it played like a rom-com with action and it was entertaining to the point that I didn't want to stop listening. Casimir was awesome- a playboy at first glance but sweet and wonderful (thought alpha) in reality. Rox has a heart of gold and a spine of steel and she's the perfect counter to Casimir. Their banter was amazing, I giggled so much. The action was fantastic, making this 12 hour book go really fast. The addition of Max and Arthur made me look forward to the next installments. And then, Joe Arden, with his different accents for Casimir, Arthur, Max, Rox and other characters was done wonderfully. I think the only thing that I found less than exceptional is that his Rox voice sounded a bit less energetic than other characters. However, his reading totally elevated the story and there were many times I forgot that this reading was just ONE person. I'm in awe of his skill.

Great Listen!
Working Stiff by Blair Babylon pulled me in immediately. I loved the story of Cash and Roz. Joe Arden was magical bringing the numerous characters to life with distinguishable voices. This is definitely a steamy listen, and not predictable.

Absolutely Brilliant
This was a brilliantly composed Billionaire contemporary romance, with phenomenal narration. The storyline is riveting, it sucks you in, immersing you from start to finish. The characters are absolutely intriguing, genuine with real depth to their personalities. I absolutely adore the main characters, Cash and Roz, their connection is tangible, and their chemistry is scorching hot.
Joe Arden is one of my favorite narrators, aside from having a fantastic voice, he is utterly talented. He captures the essence of the characters, the emotions found in the pages, bringing the entirety of the story to life.
Working Stiff is a perfect combination of exceptional storyline, fabulous characters, and outstanding narration; I highly recommend it.

Wow....
I loved this book. I had previously read some of the authors other books, and was keen to try this audio book.. It did not disappoint. I'm only upset that not all of the authors works are available on Audible yet..... Can't wait for that next one!!!

What a great story, sexy hunks, action, and drama what else is there
This is a wonderful story that pulls you in so that you get taken along for the ride with all the different characters

Great Story 💜
I loved this storyline. Wealthy hot alpha male, strong, sexy & smart heroine. This story had a few surprises I did not see coming. So glad this series doesn’t end here. I’m excited to jump into book 2!
The narration was fantastic.
This book has an HEA!
I highly recommend this book/series.
