Summary

Those that truly know August Greenfield, will tell you that I live my life to the fullest. Work hard as part of the team at Jameson Force Security but play just as hard at the Wicked Horse Vegas. I have no regrets about my life. Well, maybe just one.

Leighton Hale was my first love and the woman I wanted to spend my life with, but one day she was just gone. Vanished without a trace. Even my extensive contacts as part of the team at Jameson left me empty-handed in my search for answers. My single remorse is never being able to find out what happened to her, because no matter how difficult the truth may be, it can’t be as bad as never knowing at all.

Ten years later, a knock on my front door brings me face-to-face with the woman I thought I’d never see again and nothing in my life could have prepared me for the secrets she holds.

Love, love, love it!

From the very start, Sawyer Bennett drew me into the world of August and Leighton. High school sweethearts, one day they were happy and the next day Leighton was gone, without a word and without a trace. Now 10 years later, she shows up in Vegas on August's doorstep. What does she want? August was happy with his life. He loves his job and his experiences at the Wicked Horse. Now with Leighton back, will his life change? Oh my God, this is a roller coaster of emotions. Not only do we have the sizzling chemistry between August and Leighton, but the secrets she reveals are emotional and dangerous. Her father is quite the character, adding another dynamic to this couple, and their journey into reconnecting is just amazing. From trips to the Wicked Horse to just being together, this couple exudes passion. I love Bennett's writing, her way of getting us to connect to the characters and the stories are complete entertainment.

Lance Greenfield and Kirsten Leigh are an amazing team. Experiencing them as August and Leighton is a treat! Greenfield is the perfect alpha, growlie male and creates a fantastic character as August. Just the right amount of tenderness with is over protectiveness makes him the perfect hero. Leigh is feisty as Leighton. She knows what she needs, and her voice emotes the perfect inflections in every scene. These two work so well together and gave an incredible performance.

My favorite in the series!

Oooh, I loved WICKED SECRET for its giant crossover to Jameson Security alone. The hints we got toward Malik’s story … le sigh. But I completely digress, we’re talking about a completely different series here, after all, lol.

Leighton and August’s story is one of second chances, a whole lotta sexy and deliciously filthy times and family. Not necessarily in that order, but definitely full of erotic (seriously!) and dangerous and heartbreaking and perfect goodness. I think it’s one of my favorites in this series.

Years after Leighton all but disappeared from August’s life, she’s back – and August is demanding all the answers he’s been desperate for for so long. And he’s to do quite a bit of coaxing to finally get them. His device including, but not limited to taking Leighton to the notorious sex club that is the Wicked Horse. And there just is this one particular scene that still plays on repeat on my mind – and not only because of the smexiness happening but also because of that conversation it triggers. I want to say more but can’t, because it would be considered a spoiler – just know this: Leighton is one truly wonderful heroine, strong and fearless, with valid reasons to do what she did. And August … well, after he dets over his hang-ups concerning Leighton, he turns out to be one truly good-hearted man.

Their story is spiked with countless ups and downs, drama, danger and more, and while centered around a sex club, but like previous books, not all revolves around it.

Kirsten Leigh and Lance Greenfield both did amazing jobs narrating this story, bringing the characters to life just perfectly in dual narration. Emotional, distinct voices give a whole new level to the experience of this story.

Another great addition to the Wicked Horse Vegas!

Let me just say WOW what a beginning to a book. I don't think I've experienced one quite like it before. Instantly as the reader I was thrust into all the action you would expect from the wicked horse. Then we met August and Leighton. High school sweethearts who lost touch ten years prior. We traveled through lies and secrets, love and heartache before we got to their HEA. I loved every minute of it. Lance Greenfield and Kristen Leigh were awesome narrating August and Leighton. They bought even more depth to the characters who already captured my heart.

Wickedly Intriguing

This is my first time reading (or listening) a book in the Wicked Horse series, and Wicked Secret had me intrigued from the start. I couldn't wait to see how August and Leighton/Tracy's story would play out and I just love how it ended!

We also get to find out what some familiar characters in the Jameson Force Security series are up to, and let's just say that, at this point, I'm really looking forward to Mallik's story!

Narrators Kirsten Leigh and Lance Greenfield were a joy to listen to.

Wicked Secret is a second-chance, secret baby contemporary romance written in dual first person-POV and recorded in dual narration. It's a standalone that ends with a HEA. No cliffhanger, no cheating.

Outstanding🎧📚🎧 Captivating, Heartfelt & Sizzling🔥

Wow, this book is awesome! I have become a huge fan of Sawyer Bennett’s work, I haven’t had the pleasure to read or listen to any of her “Wicked Horse” books yet and now I know what I have been missing. This book grabbed my attention right from the start, and what a smoking hot start it is! I took an immediate liking to August, I loved his great, no-nonsense personality, another big plus is that he works for Jameson Security, so you know he is super cool. In the opening scene he is hanging out at the Wicked Horse, a BDSM club where just about anything goes. I adored Leighton, her tenacity to do what she has to do to save her loved one’s life, including risking her own life. When she knocked on August’s door he was taken aback, he had not seen her in 10 years when she disappeared and was forever out of his life. He tried searching for her to no avail. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is cleverly plotted and the story flows beautifully. The story has plenty of drama, a bit of angst, some twists and turns, a touch of suspense, lots of heartfelt emotions and hot loving! It was great to catch up with some of he Jameson Security crew too. Thank you for another amazing book, I am looking forward to catching up with the rest of the series soon.

Lance Greenfield and Kristen Leigh are fantastic narrators and voice artists. They did an amazing job portraying the characters, bringing them to life giving each their own voice and personality. Lance perfected August’s role and Kristen’s Leighton was awesome too. They captured the characters emotions as well as the drama of the story and projected it into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thanks you for another fabulous listen🎧

I am so addicted to this series!

I was instantly hooked in the world of August and Leighton. In love one minute and the next Leighton is missing. August spends too much of his time pining for Leighton. Just when he thinks she is gone forever, Leighton returns. Their story is jam packed with all the emotions. As the secrets unfold, the drama and page turning action heats up. Leighton does not return easily and August is torn between anger and love by seeing her again. I could not stop listening to this story, I always had to hear more about what was happening. I left this story with a book hangover, and I just hope to hear more about August and Leighton. THis has to be my favorite so far of this series.

Kirsten Leigh is an amazing Leighton. Kirsten brings out Leighton's strength and determination through her narration. My heart broke for Leighton because of Kirsten's performance. Lance Greenfield brought August to life. Lance made August realistic. Through Lance's narration of all August's emotions and struggles, I could feel it all and felt as if I was a part of the book. This performance enhanced the experience of the story.

No Secret Wicked good

Nothing better than a second chance and secret baby story. Sawyer Bennett didn’t disappoint with Laughton (Tracy) and August’s story with Sam’s story in the background. You could help but root for the fa,ily to figure things out. I was happily shocked how it ended. I can’t wait for the next story in the wicked house series and Malik’s story for the jamieson security. I love that these series are all woven together but they are also stand alone. The narrators Kristen Leigh and Lance Greenfield were great and kept you interested.

Half Wicked Horse, Half Jameson Force Security

So, this was my first book in the Wicked Horse world, and I am intrigued. Love a good sex club. However, in the end, we saw relatively little of it, and it felt more like half a Jameson Force Security book - don't get me wrong, I love that world, but it was unexpected.

I loved August and Leighton, and how they learned to work together. Overall, I just wanted a little, more? More time for them to be a family, more Sam, and how it all ends up perfectly. But still hot, fun, exciting.

This was a quick one time read/listen for me. It started off good and even the secret I wasn't expecting, but because of the circumstance of the secret and reason revealed is a bit sad. Its just that I wish it would have more meat to the story. I was waiting for something major to happen. I'm glad for the HEA of course.

Narrators Kristen and Lance were great.
