Summary

In this revised and updated third edition of Unbeatable Mind, Mark Divine offers his philosophy and methods for developing maximum potential through integrated warrior development. This work was created through trial and error, proving to thousands of clients that they are capable of 20 times more than what they believe.

The powerful principles for forging deep character, mental toughness, and an elite team provided in this book are the foundation of the Unbeatable Mind "working in" program of Divine's SEALFIT Academies and renowned Kokoro Camp. They are being employed by a growing number of coaches, professors, therapists, doctors, and business professionals worldwide.

Commander Divine is a retired Navy SEAL and human performance expert who works with elite military, sport, and corporate teams, SEAL/SOF candidates, and others seeking to maximize their potential, leading to more balanced success and happiness. The training is leading to breakthroughs in all walks of life and cultivating a robust community of practitioners.

This book will specifically help you develop:

  • Mental clarity - to make better decisions while under pressure.
  • Concentration - to focus on the mission until victory is assured.
  • Awareness - to be more sensitive to your internal and external radar.
  • Leadership authenticity - to be a heart-centered leader and service-oriented teammate.
  • Intuition - to learn to trust your gut and use mental imagery to your advantage.
  • Offensive "sheepdog" mindset - to avoid danger and stay one step ahead of the competition or enemy.
  • Warrior spirit - to deepen your willpower, intention, and connection with your spiritual self.

Wish Mark Devine had narrated

I’ve known of Mark Devine for years. I’ve listened to his podcasts and when he has been a guest on others, finding him a fascinating person, with good ethics and motivating. The book intrigued me however was disappointed by the narration; it was a bit monotone and emotionless - I can hear Devine’s speaking style in the words, just not delivered which makes it a difficult listen in places.

Why are authors employing robot narrators?

I listened to 2 minutes and turned it off. I'll read it and review the book properly based on the actual content but I simply can't listen to the machine like reading of someone with zero emotional connection with the literature.

I listened to Tony Robin's Unleash the power within narrated by Tony Robbins, it was awesome. I listened to David Goggin's Can't hurt me narrated by his personal friend with additional commentary by David, it was awesome. Ross Edgeley's art of resilience narrated by Ross - awesome. Mark Divine sounds great in interviews, why has he let this book be read by this robotic voice?? Sorry Mark, I'm sure the content is good but just wish you'd read it yourself.

Not unbeatable.

Would you try another book written by Mark Divine or narrated by Brock Armstrong?

No. I think I know what is the content of this particular snake-oil seller's goods.

What was most disappointing about Mark Divine’s story?

No actual guides, hints or tools to 'FORGE RESILIENCY AND MENTAL TOUGHNESS', just a prolonged salespitch for his Kokoro-camp. He does mention breathing techniques, which he has relabeled as if he had invented them..

What three words best describe Brock Armstrong’s performance?

unmemorable

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

No. This is supposed to be revised edition, something that has been fixed and vetted through. Nope.

Any additional comments?

Avoid. Just another seal cashing in his trident.

Not as good as The Way of the Seal

Not as good as The Way of the Seal. It is slower and doesn't feel like new or deeper material although there are newer ideas. With The Way of the Seal you have all you need.
