Mind Over Matter

In the last three years i've gained 40 pounds, and have done absolutely nothing to work on reducing my weight. After listening to this audiobook I've gained momentum to want to work toward a healthier version of myself. This book helps you shift your mindset to believe in yourself and know that you can do it. Honestly when I was in my 20s I lost a lot of weight and I think back to those moments if I was able to do it then, I can do it again. I'm now feeling so much more optimistic to just get things started. Thanks John Wright for putting this out here and showing us that a mindset change can make a diference.

EVERYONE NEEDS THIS BOOK

Holy Smokes~!!, if you are looking for an empowering book on how to lose weight but most importantly how to level up your mindset around your physical health this is your book. I have been on a long journey to lose the extra pounds I have gained since birthing two kids, but man oh man with motherhood everything just seems less important, but a few months ago I decided to start focusing on myself, and prioritizing my diet and lifestyle, this audiobook was recommended by a friend so I was immediately hooked!
The author does a great job empowering you to feel better about yourself, to start from 0 but to keep on going, this book is everything I needed and more!!
10/10 recommend

Believe!

As someone who has struggled with weight loss and self-sabotaging behaviors, this book has been so helpful for me. It delves into the power of our mindset in transforming our lifestyles and achieving our weight loss goals. It's not about quick-fix diets or punishing ourselves at the gym; it's about changing our mindset and beliefs surrounding food, health, and self-worth.

Motivational book, good to restart weight loss!

I liked this book - I have been looking for a new tool to kick-start my weight loss journey. Like many other, it's a journey I've embarked on many times. I've been successful at losing weight, but not at keeping it off! I look forward to trying these techniques for this next journey, and how knows, maybe it will be my last! This is noting like I've tried before, I look forward to updating this review after a few months of (hopefully) progress! The narration is quite pleasant in this book. The book is empowering and I can't wait to get started.

Transformative Weight Loss Guide

This book focuses on engaging your mind's potential to facilitate weight loss and a healthy lifestyle in which you feel tremendous instead of lousy. The first statement that stuck out to me is that a motivation-based plan is not sustainable. Your motivation will eventually fade, leading you to feel like a failure. Food needs to be thought of as nourishment and the path towards health, a lifestyle, not a diet. I loved that the author mentioned health at every size, which is something I know psychologists who work with eating disorders preach. I also agree that when we avoid certain foods because they are "bad," i.e., carbs, it is not only unhealthy, it can lead to disordered eating. Overall, I found this book to be full of empowering information and motivation to help you regain your health and lose weight at the same time. The choice of narrator was terrific, as he kept you engaged as you listened.
