Summary

Don’t miss the first book in an addictive new serial novella trilogy brimming with suspense, dark humor, and romance! Meet the Youngbloods, an unforgettable family of antiheroes.

The Youngbloods are a mafia-like demon family, sent as a sinister advance team to prepare Earth for an infernal invasion. But when something goes wrong, the demon invasion never comes and the Youngbloods are stuck on crappy Earth with the worst creatures in the world—each other.

Petra Youngblood is the family’s hunter. Her job: to track and kill the annual human sacrifice that keeps the Youngbloods immortal. Otherwise, they will crumble to dust. But as Petra is hunting down this year’s sacrifice, a man named Killian Irons, she breaks the first demonic rule. The one rule so forbidding, nobody else in her family has ever dared to break it...she falls in love.

brilliant

new style of writing for the oldest creatures and I love it. not the usual supernatural lurking about for a young teenager 🤔 actors are great and the story keeps you listening. looking forward to the next one

Quick and easy to follow.

Really enjoyed this and will be straight onto the next listen. Nice quick paced story, easy to follow. Enjoyed listening to most of the characters and nice touch to have a different narrator for each person. Perfect filler book for when you don’t want to get into anything too long.

Hilarious

Once I got the hang of the novella I really loved the unfolding story.
It is fast paced, entertaining and has a look at family ties and emotions that despite being funny & entertaining are also touchingly human.
Loved this audiobook.
The performance of the narrators is fantastic.

Not my cup of tea

I have read quite a few non traditional vampire/demon novels and this was very reminiscent of Raven Dane’s Legacy of the Dark Kind series and Sam Stone’s Vampire Gene series. I don’t like series that leave me on a cliffhanger and I found the characters in this unappealing and didn’t care what happened to them.
The actors did a good job but it just didn’t grab me enough to want to find out what happens next.
