Summary
The latest William Lorimer investigation from best-selling author Alex Gray - Glasgow-set crime at its most thrilling.
When Detective Superintendent William Lorimer's wife, Maggie, publishes her first book, he is thrilled for her. But joy soon turns to fear when a mysterious stranger starts following Maggie on her publicity tour.
Meanwhile Lorimer and the MIT are on the search for the murderer of two young women, but can Lorimer catch the killer and track down Maggie's stalker at the same time...?
If you like Cara Hunter, Angela Marsons, Patricia Gibney, Lisa Jewell or Joy Ellis, you will be utterly gripped by this twisty, heart-stopping crime novel.

Disappointing.
Narration has been poorly edited . Words repeated in several places. Not the standard I have come to expect.

Good listen
another good novel in the series, although it was a easy guess as to who was the killer from about half way through.
Good story well read

dragged on too long
I really enjoyed the previous books by Luca Veste and this began well. unfortunately it became too strung out and 30mins before the end of the book I gave up not wanting even to persevere and find out what happened. That says a lot! I got bored with it. Not like me at all as I really try to finish a book getting so far through it.

Fantastic story
I am new to DCI Lorimer and can’t believe I haven’t listened to these stories yet! Loved the plot and the characters and their relationships. There is much of life in this book that uses the detective genre as a vehicle for exploring complex issues that resonant. I shall be listening to a lot more of Alex Gray

Fantastic storytelling and narration
I have read all the Lorimer novels by Alex Gray. This is my first listening experience and I was initially hesitant but I absolutely loved it . The narration was first class and I was completely immersed in the story.

A brilliant series.
I have now listened to the whole series of DCI Lorimer books, and what an enjoyable series it has been.
My only regret is I haven't got any more now to listen to, and will have to wait for the next to be written and presented on Audible.
Narration by Joe Dunlop is as ever perfect.
Thoroughly Recommended.

Great as always but slight unbelievable and implausible story with such experienced characters
I love listening to these and have followed all the books. This is just a bit unbelievable and implausible that the characters would end up in this situation, and also the storylines seem to often revolve around central characters. I stopped listening to Patricia Cornell ( sorry if spelt wrong) as I thought why don’t you all retire and the level of serious crime would immediately drop!! Make it about others and brilliant plausible detective work!!

Terrible…don’t waste your time
Dull, predictable plot, obvious who did what very early on, no tension. Cardboard characters - a bland, saintly wife and textbook goodies and baddies along with some generic stalker psychology thrown in. I would give it zero stars if Audible allowed me to.
