Summary

The groundbreaking audio production of what Los Angeles Times Magazine called “the greatest epic in the history of comic books” continues. Leading perhaps the best cast ever assembled in audio, James McAvoy returns to voice Morpheus, the Lord of Dreams, in The Sandman: Act III, the third installment of the New York Times best-selling audio saga. Award-winning audio trailblazer Dirk Maggs adapts the blockbuster DC graphic novel series written by Neil Gaiman (Good Omens) into another fully immersive listening experience, presented for the first time in breathtaking 3D audio.

In Act III, we follow Morpheus on a grand journey to take care of family business. He visits with his son Orpheus (Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page), an act that brings with it profound consequences. Accompanied by Delirium (Kristen Schaal, Bob’s Burgers), he tracks down their estranged brother, Destruction (David Harewood, Supergirl), the only member of the Endless ever to abandon their post. And at an inn at the intersection of all worlds, a group of travelers are forced together by a storm that threatens to destroy reality itself, with grave repercussions for Morpheus and the rest of the Endless.

All the original cast returns, including Kat Dennings as Death, Aidan Turner as Cluracan, and Neil Gaiman himself as The Narrator, joined by Harewood and other new cast members Wil Wheaton (Star Trek: The Next Generation), KJ Apa (Riverdale), Shruti Haasan (Race Gurram), and more.

It’s time to close your eyes and listen. Once again.

Please note: This content is not for kids. It is for mature audiences only. Just like the original graphic novels, this audio adaptation contains explicit language and graphic violence, as well as strong sexual content and themes. Discretion is advised.

A Continuing Masterpiece

As with Acts I and II, I put off starting Act III. Why? Because once I start I can't stop listening. It means being awake half the night because I'd rather listen than sleep.
That's how good I find it.

Dramatic performance, great story.

I was a big fan of the first book but found the second to be pretty average. I am pleased to say that this book picks up the pace again and delivers on all fronts.

Awesome narration and acting. Engaging story that is funny, horrifying and generally ticks along at an enjoyable pace. Well worth picking up.

Another Amazing Book

This is exactly how I love hearing my stories, with actors, music and sounds. This is another amazing piece of the Sandman mythos. I can’t wait for the last Act.

Sad times

Sad as its all over. I miss it and I can't find anything to fill that void on my drive to work now. All I can do is wait for Netflix and go and watch Ocean at the end of the lane at the theatre.

Inspiration and Magic 🪄

I loved almost unconditionally this third instalment of the famous Neil Gaiman's saga, dedicated to Morpheus - I can't wait to hear the next act - it will be performed I suppose soon?! Right?!?

Spot on

A great adaptation that breathes life and colour into the sandman universe. I would recommend this to anyone, either a novice to the universe or a well seasoned traveller.

I look forward to book 4. 👍
