Summary
The war between the shadowy cabal that seeks to gain control of the entire land and those who hope to stop the spread of chaos and lawlessness is engulfing city after city. The growing number of atrocities and death convinces Ammon-shur that there has to be a better way to combat the violence than with violence of his own. He travels from Sumeria to Elam and Egypt, seeking allies for his cause while doing his best to cut off the supplies that are feeding and equipping his enemies. As he travels, he comes across the legend of a mighty ancient city that was so powerful it was able to abolish poverty and war, and he sets off in search of it in the hope that he can finally bring peace and healing to his homeland.
