Summary

The pen is mightier than the sword. The brush beats both.

Imagine having the ability to paint any world you like...and then walk inside it.

With a moneygrubbing father and obnoxious mother, young Jack hasn’t had an easy childhood. But when he’s invited to compete in a painting contest hosted by the legendary Dante De Luca, his life becomes remarkable. With Dante’s mindboggling training, Jack learns to create sensational worlds, like a god.

After eight years of apprenticeship, tragedy strikes, and Jack is left plummeting toward an emotional abyss. To reunite with his beloved mentor, Dante, he must conquer a savage world ruled by the ruthless Archduke Oakenfol and his rebellious daughter, Annabelle.

A world brimming with backstabbing, blades, and teeth.

A world Jack may not survive.

A world he created.

The Painter's Apprentice is a riot of color, painted in love, hate, and blood. Suitable for listeners 12+.

Fantastic read!

I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to this rendition of an utterly captivating book by Alexander Small, The Painter’s Apprentice. Its vivid descriptions made me feel like a painter’s apprentice myself. The pictures revealed before my eyes as I was taken into the thick of the plot.

Being an English teacher, I have made plans already of how to use some excerpts in my lessons. There is abundance of material to use with your students! Excellent language development tool for any student, native or speakers of other languages alike.
Would recommend to anyone!

fantastic concept

This is an original idea and it lends itself to adventure. The action is fast paced and you are always taken by surprise by the next move, the story is involving and the outcome so surprising it leaves you feeling you have been there during all the action. The descriptions bring the sound ,scenes and characters to life. Sometimes I felt the narrator could have been more creative in his character voices, but overall we were taken on an adventurous journey by him .Truly potential for more from this author.
