Summary

If you think your brain and mind are one, think again. According to the interpersonal neurobioligy pioneer Daniel J. Siegel, the mind actually emerges out of the interaction between your brain and relationships. Now, with The Neurobiology of "We", Dr. Siegel invites you on a journey to discover this revolutionary new model of human development - one that can positively transform trauma, move you from stress to calm and equanimity, and promote well-being for you, your family, or even your community.

Whatever every human should know.

Exciting information about how the brain and nervous system work and how humans operate based on redundant patterns laid down in childhood. Information on how that can be changed into more relevant responses in the present moment.
It would be great if humans could be brought up on these principles. There would be more happiness and less wars.
Essential information for doctors, educators, health practitioners, politicians, police , judiciary and anyone interested in human potential.

A very interesting book!

Some parts can be a bit hard to understand, specially if you do not work in this field and English is not your 1st language, but I found this book very interesting anyway.

Complicated but valuable

Difficult to follow at times, as the content can run from very technical, heavily scientific into somewhat over simplifying the conclusions.
Some amazing insights about the brain and about our behaviours.

He does it again....

Makes neurobiology accessible to all the people and includes the truly psychological soulful aspects of what it means for us to know these things about how our brain and neurological processes work. Thank you kind sir for sharing your work.

Dan Siegel makes it easy listening

I found Dan Siegel as narrator really easy listening. He may repeat himself but that's how it sticks in my mind. He is so knowledgeable about this area and it comes across. Easy to lose yourself in the narrative and the content. I will be listening again in the future.

Absolutely wonderful!

I'm a clinical psychologis. my job is my passion, so in my spare time I read a lot of stuff related to my field. There are literally many years since I've come across something as good as this. This is the puzzle that binds together every other theory of change I use in my practice. I highly recommend.
