"Grossack's writing is spot on when it comes to capturing Jane Austen's tone and writing style." (Cozy Mystery Book Reviews)

Narrator

The story was exceptionally narrated ,giving excellent accents for the variety of characters bringing them to life, this made it easy to visualise them in the period setting.

Great story but very average narration

The plot is excellent and at times humorous but the humour is completely lost in the narration. There were some slightly suspect pronunciations which grated - it might have been better if the narrator had used her own American accent rather than her slant on an English accent which slipped somewhat at times.

Overall an enjoyable listen.
