Summary

Lawrence Beesley was a passenger on the Titanic's maiden voyage and therefore a survivor of its tragic loss.

In this audiobook he narrates the circumstances of the ship's collision with an iceberg and the strange unexpected behaviour of the passengers, who found it hard to believe anything at all had happened.

Bad narrator

The narrator ruins a great book. A shame as this book is a classic by Laurence Beesley Titanic survivor.

A lesson in life

This is an amazing listen. I was surprised that Lawrence Beesley described people as calm on the night of the sinking. And for those that survived, the gratitude they felt for their rescuers and for being alive, is a lesson to us all. Beautifully written.
