An enjoyable read, if a little unbelievable

The narrator is great. She really helped bring the characters to life.

I enjoyed the story and felt that the housemates were really relatable.

The story is rather fantastical in my opinion. I just don’t feel like anyone would go to the leg that the protagonist does, but I don’t feel like it gets in the way of creating an overall good story.

Spoiler alert: there is a plot twist which I found very confusing at first. I’ve worked it out now but can’t decide whether it was clever or just annoying!

????

I was absolutely LOVING this book until the end. I don’t know if I’m just a bit thick- I don’t think so??- But I didn’t get it at all. It almost felt like a completely different book being tagged on the end. Incredibly confused, which is a shame, given how much I was enjoying it.

Twists so unexpected

What an unexpected twist, was so good for it to all fall into place the last couple chapters and I enjoyed how it ended.

Gripping

I enjoyed the book, I thought the main character was well developed. I enjoyed the interaction between her housemates. The ending although a bit of a large coincidence was still ok and it tied all the book together.

excellent until the confusing end

was gripping from the start and tiwstds the end it was almost like a separate books had beeni mistakenly inserted.
very weird. First 30 or so chapters the reader was very staccato and then changed as if someone had told her
just unsatisfactory is my general opinion

Confusing

This was all going well until the last couple of chapters, and now I literally have no idea what just happened. Not in a good way! So much of the story seems to have been completely irrelevant, the end feels rushed, confusing and unsatisfactory.

Twisty psychological thriller

This story progressed in a way that is standard fare for a psychological thriller - a woman running from a dark past feeling threatened at every turn - but there is a major twist at the end which is a bit too incredible for me to give this book anything more than a 3 star rating. The prose is good - it is very well-written. I just didn't like the plot.

Clever writing

I frequently found it hard to read this as it was really sad at times, however it was equally compelling. Cleverly written and a good read. I would recommend it.
