Very average listen

Nothing about the premise felt fresh, it was mostly predictable, except for some of the twists at the end that weren’t predictable but only because they were quite daft.
Having said all that it was a reasonably entertaining listen, if you’ve got a credit to use and nothing else takes your fancy. The narrator is easy to listen to

surprised me

I was not expecting the supernatural plot point, personally I enjoyed it but it definitely isn't everyone's cup of tea. The story was a bit disjointed and the plot points didn't all exactly fit, but I liked it anyway and would listen to more from the author.

Plot twist

This was a really enjoyable listen and easy to get into, but also an unexpected plot twist that elevated the story line. Would recommend!

A solid 4 star read

Another great novel from Riley Sager! I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't "that" paranormal thing towards the end.
I love how Riley Sager tells a story and how at the end everything is figured and sorted out without leaving any questions for the reader. Everything is complete.

Really enjoyed it, thought you knew what was happening and then it changed. Might have been a bit OTT, but I still enjoyed it!

Not my favourite Riley Sager book

I expected more. Still Home Before Dark and Lock Every Door is my favourite. Still, I like this writer. He is good even when it’s not his strongest work.

What the actual?

I mean, I don’t know. It’s been three days and I still don’t know. Maybe that’s a good thing? First 70% of it… yeah I’m in… narrator was fab ( I usual struggle with American narration (sounds robotic to me) but this was fantastic) I’m getting into the Rear Window Vibes, maybe cutting a bit of slack that it’s a guy writing a female and it kinda shows but I’m in… I’m invested. Then it just goes… it’s like I’m going to have a competition and the fan who wins can finish writing the last 30% of the book ! The jump is beyond itN I was actually raging out loud ….it was so ridiculous.

And then I kinda went with it and got into it again. A bit.

I still ultimately feel robbed. But I won’t call the cops, I’ll just let it go. That’s all I can say without spoilers.

Amazing!!

This is one of the best stories I’ve heard in a long time. There were so many great twists towards the end of the book and my jaw literally dropped.

Ridiculous

Starts off as a Rear Window ripoff mixed with the constant reminder of a need for a drink from the awful main character and turns into perhaps the most stupid and ridiculous story I can remember in a long time.

I couldn’t believe how absolutely out of nowhere THAT plot twist happened (no spoilers!) and rapidly went down its already low hill from there.

Such a shame as I normally love Riley Sager’s (and Todd Ritter’s) books but this was absolutely terrible.

Don't bother

This was a strange story line that I could have lived without and saved my money. The narration was OK. Disappointing
