A Good Listen 3 Stars ⭐⭐ ⭐

I really enjoyed this Chicklit. It was different which made a nice change. Personally I couldn't be married to a man obsessed with sports but character Lexi made it funny in this book.

I am really enjoying books by Anna Bell. The narrator Imogen Church was good and I have listened to her before.

This was in the plus catalogue so I didn't use a credit. Yes I do recommend listening to this.

Drivel around a NOTHING storyline

Oh my god, if I wanted to listen to drivel I have a trillion friends I can ring.

Funny endearing book, a cut above the norm

Chick lit with a difference. Fun with a touch of reality. Loved the fact that Anna didn’t go in for loads of swooning and and heart fluttering knee trembling, gushing. I thought the flawed couple very endearing. Imogen’s narration was very good as well.

Great little book

Got this book free on prime. Wasn’t expecting much so was really surprised to enjoy it. Nice characters, some very funny moments. Narrator was a bit poor, but it didn’t spoil the read. I’ll probably read more from this author

Funny and quite different!

I laughed hard in a few parts, like when Lexy dressed to seduce Will. I didn't expect to laugh, so I was listening to it in bed using earbuds. I tried to keep it quiet but ended up shaking the bed in laughter and waking up my husband, who probably thought I was convulsing. The narrator, Imogen, is very good at her job. I found the story to be quite original, which is a bonus.
My advice for women who aren't obsessed with sports, though is, never, EVER, get involved with a man who is. It's will save you a lot of arguments and heart breaking 💔

Really enjoyed this

I’ve been on a bit of a romcom/ chicklit binge of late and this is one of the best ones I’ve listened to. It’s very easy to listen to and the narration was brilliant. I’d definitely recommend it.

loved it

I listened to the don't tell series from this author before this one, I much preferred this one I have to say, I found it way funnier and not as frustrating as the others, the princess on a shoe string blog gets mentioned in this one too which is nice.

The narrator gave a fantastic performance, really made the story come alive.

I like that this authors story's are more than the typical meet cute, boy meets girl and after a series of unfortunate events and misunderstandings they get together and live happily ever after, these are more like the what comes after part, the real life issues that hit people told in a hilarious way.

Not the average rom com

This was great. I’ve been stressed at work, and wanted a book I could listen to and not have to think too hard about. Delivered. But! I was pleasantly surprised it wasn’t the usual “will she end up with the super obvious love interest despite all their differences”, but a new twist. It ticked all the boxes with humour and ease of listening, I was genuinely invested in the revenge and relationship by the end.
