Summary
The epic new thriller from the number one best-selling queen of gangland crime!
Kenny Bond. A murderer. A gangster. A good family man.
Meet the Bonds.
Kenny Bond is finally out of prison after doing a long stretch for killing a copper and is determined to get back to life on the straight and narrow.
A family like no other....
Kenny’s son, Donny, might lack his father’s edge, but his twin grandsons, Beau and Brett - well, they are Bonds through and through. Like him, they won’t let anyone stand in their way.
But they’re about to meet their match.
Family comes before everything else for Kenny, but there’s a feud brewing that could cause murder, and a new family on Dark Lane might bring the Bonds to their knees. Kenny’s determined that nothing, and no one, will threaten his family. But can the Bonds stick together when someone’s out to take them down?
Meet the Bonds.
You don’t want to be on the wrong side of this family.

I absolutely love Kimberley books and I look forward to them
Every year but I have to admit I missed Annie aldington narrating this book. It was a brilliant story though Kim did a fantastic job as always!

Revisiting Kimberley Chambers. Glad I stuck at it
I wasn't particularly looking forward to this book, but I used to read a lot of Kimberleys books and thought I would add this to my early read list when I joined Audible this year. I'm really glad I did. I can't deny it felt like the usual references, expressions and characters from many of her stories but I am glad I stuck with it. Strong, gritty, challenging and as thought provoking. As I remember Kimberley's earlier stories.
Kenny Bond was a believable character and not just because of the authors renowned and revered skills, but also because Robert clearly worked hard to make it so. I'd happily give him another go and will no doubt try another KC book again before I decide to either stick with her or park her up again. I'll be sure to make reference to it in other reviews of that helps.

Where’s Annie?
Hated the narrator. Made the book far less interesting and also confusing when Kimberly is my fav author. Maybe need to purchase in paper form

Great story, shame about the narration
such a shame that Annie Alderlington didn't narrate this, was hard to follow at times and lack of pauses between scenes confused the story 😕 always a good story to be had by Kimberly, but seriously disappointed in the narrator.
