Summary

An epic, progressive fantasy where it is everyone’s destiny to die, but you’re challenged on how one should live.

(Book 1 of 4 in The God King Emmanuel Saga)

It is the year 896 during the Age of Magic and young Liam found himself searching for his purpose. His world forever changed when his family all tragically died within months of one another.

As the world around him grew cold, the only warmth he found was in remembering the stories of the legendary warrior his father fought alongside.

As a child, young Liam dreamt of fighting next to such warriors, and with nothing left to lose, he departed his home on a quest to become just that. The only thing he did not realize was just how much carnage awaited him.

Fantastic story

I read TDB: Hunters in paperback when it was originally published and began the joureney with Liam in Pentagoth. The narration puts the perfect voices to the characters and adds a new depth to an already fantastic story.

Looking forward to when Book 2 audio releases nevermind the latest book in the series as well.

If you enjoy fantasy and some grimdark added in this book is for you.

Compelling Epic Fantasy!

I just finished The Dying Breed: Hunters, and wow, what a compelling read! This story, both in ebook and audio, is like a perfectly brewed potion of action, heart, and that edgy humor I absolutely love. You know, the kind that has you chuckling one moment and then hits you right in the feels the next.

Liam's journey is both epic and progressive. The characters he meets felt so real, you'd swear you could have a beer with them. The banter? Top-notch. It’s like listening to old friends who know just how to push each other's buttons. I won't name names, as I don’t want to spoil any of the fun, but every single character is so well-crafted with their own unique voice; they’re raw, real, and have their own story to tell that really drew me in.

The world the author has created is a character in its own right. Beautifully detailed, it's easy to lose yourself in Liam’s journey. And the action scenes – they’re not just written; they’re crafted. You’re not just reading about a battle; you’re in the thick of it, feeling everything alongside the characters.

The narration by Tom Cox and Kevin Martin really complements the immersive feel. They don't just tell the story, they bring it to life, matching the book’s heart and edgy humor perfectly.

To sum it up, The Dying Breed: Hunters is a compelling, engaging, and brilliantly written start to what promises to be an unputdownable series. The author is both a talented writer and an amazing storyteller. If you’re into fantasy that’s got both guts and heart, you need to check this out.
