Summary

As a teen, Drake ran away and found the Black Cat Circus, he thought it was his ticket out of town. Instead, he found a family and discovered a magical world he never knew existed. Becoming the Daredevil was a perfect fit for him and the adrenaline-loving beast within.

Now, ten years later, he’s returning to the town he left as a kid and it’s stirring up a lot of emotions. A shy but sweet man with a camera captures his attention completely. Even Drake’s dragon craves him.

Eli is a journalist who hides behind a camera and his words as he records the world he lives in but rarely takes part in it. He gets assigned the traveling circus that comes to town, when he longs to do something more meaningful.

When Eli meets the Daredevil, everything changes. He’s drawn to the fearless man, but there’s something familiar about him too. Drake reminds him of a wild boy he crushed on in school.

Eli embraces the adventure as Drake pushes him out of his comfort zone, but as these two grow closer, it becomes harder for Drake to hide who he is. Can Eli accept a man with a soul of a dragon?

The Daredevil is a missed connection, opposites attract, paranormal MM romance with light exhibitionism. It is part of the Black Cat Circus multi-author series that features found family and a magical cast of characters. Each book can be listened to as a standalone but is better enjoyed as a series.

Sweet

Who doesn’t want to believe that the magical world of a circus is really magical? Giving a safe place and found family for those who don’t always feel wanted or understood elsewhere.

And that’s exactly how Drake finds himself a part of Black Cat Circus. The bad boy in need of a safe place.

Eli is an adorably awkward guy working a mediocre job with dreams of being a photographer. He plays it safe and quiet. What he needs is a Daredevil to breathe some life into him and help him take chances.

They are an adorable pair. I love every scene with Drake pushing Eli to do something out of his comfort zone. Eli experiencing those moments, the exhilaration, the joy, was wonderful.

I do recommend the audiobook, it’s fun to have these two brought to life by Zachary Zaba.

Drake and Eli

Well, what can I say? This book is fantastic! I already loved it last year, when I read the ebook version, but listening to it was just WOW!
The narrator managed to give life to all the characters in a way that made me love it even more than the first time.
Eli’s shyness and insecurity, as well as Drake’s boldness, were literally audible and perceivable, and what about Sev and Brighton? Absolutely amazing!
If I could, I would have given even more than 5 stars! Great job!
