Summary

Attorney Nate Shepherd returns to represent a city councilman accused of murder. His client is unlikeable, abrasive, and rude. But is he a killer?

Nate Shepherd must try a murder case. Fast.

When a powerful politician is arrested for killing a local business owner, he hires Nate on one condition—Nate must try the case within ninety days. He has a rock-solid alibi and wants to prove his innocence before his opponents can destroy his career.

Working with his fiery associate and his two oldest friends, Nate scrambles to pull the case together. But once the trial date is set, Nate's strategy falls apart as new witnesses and damning facts emerge, evidence that Nate's client curiously forgets to mention every single time.

Battered by a collapsing case and an ungrateful client, Nate barrels ahead. But on the eve of trial, an unexpected shock in Nate's family threatens to derail it all. Fighting through doubt of his client—and worse, of himself—Nate enters a trial he must not lose.

Swift Judgment is the seventh book in the gripping Nate Shepherd Legal Thriller series. If you like razor-sharp dialogue, captivating characters, and riveting trials, you'll love this fierce courtroom drama by Michael Stagg.

Shady Family

I love Everything about this series! I am a true Michael Stagg fan.
I loved the way the suspense built throughout the case. Paul was such an explosive man you couldn't tell when he would explode. I liked the relationship between Paul and Carson his daughter. Plus the insides to the Shepherd family, and what happened to Pops Shepherd was gripping and sad too. Can't wait for book 8 ☺️

Another great story in this series

Good story no great twists but subtle and clever turns to the plot that tie all the loose ends together. Sets up nicely for the next book I’m sure
Again the narrator George Newburn is excellent.

A great series — love love love it!

This is one of the best series I’ve ever listened to. Well-plotted, interesting and with great dialogue and wonderful characters. I’ve listened to all the books twice through and will almost certainly do so again while waiting for ‘Cruel Sentence’ (number 8). The characters are so real that each instalment is like reconnecting with family. Please keep them coming, Michael Stagg and George Newbern… I’ll be devastated if the Nate Shepherd stories ever stop. Hope number 8 drops soon!

Invested

By fair my favourite listenings on audible.. Micheal Stage & George Newbern. I can’t wait for number 8. I am invested in all the regular characters. I enjoy the personal going on’s, alone with detailed trails.
