A Pleasant Listen

I enjoyed this very much. The narrators and sound quality was very good. The stories themselves are mostly engaging and enjoyable, though I'm sure in a varied collection like this every listener will find at least one story they don't like.

The only negative I can think of is that it may not be something I can listen to again and again. Most short stories rely on a surprise or twist at the end, and once you have heard it once they can't hold you in the same suspense. I will certainly give it another listen in a few months when I've hopefully forgotten some of the endings!

very poor sound quality

All the stories are excellent but the sound levels spoilt the product. Pity. The narrators were also first class. Pity.

No book titles for chapters

It would have been nice if you could see the title of the story and author on the chapters, in some of the stories the narrator doesn’t even say what the name or author of the story is.

Gentle stories well told

This is a series of short stories by different writers. The stories are old-fashioned, and quite gentle in tone, but the narrators are all exceptionally gifted in bringing them to life.

Foppish

Over the top foppish waffle about nothing, rather irritating after a while.Never finished the work.
