He is Boba Fett, the most feared and successful bounty hunter in the galaxy, and even the most hardened criminals tremble at his name. Now he faces the deadliest challenge of his infamous career: an all-out war against his most dangerous enemies.
As the Rebellion gathers force, Prince Xizor proposes a cunning plan to the Emperor and Darth Vader: smash the power of the Bounty Hunters Guild by turning its members against each other. Only the strongest and most ruthless will survive, and they can be used against the Rebellion. It's a job for the fiercely independent Boba Fett, who jumps at the chance to destroy his rivals. But Fett soon realizes the murderous factions, criminal conspiracies, and the evil at the Empire's dark heart. Boba Fett has always finished first. And in this game, anything less is death.

"Filling in the Gaps"
Although I am a big fan of Star Wars, I have not read all the books, comics etc. So there is alot of back story to discover. Boba Fett is one of the best characters. Even delivering a serious appearence in the Legacy of the Force series (which I highly recommend), The Bounty Hunter series is a fantastic addition to my library. Most of the story spread across the New Hope and Return of the Jedi timeline.
The character development, and narration of the book is fantastic.
"Major let down"
I'm not sure.
Ok. He's I no Marc Thompson or John Davis but he's ok.
I was really excited to read this book and finally see what happened with Bobba for myself. Unfortunately the story really to me seemed to lack the detailed and exciting writing style I've come to expect from the reading of many Star wars novels before. I found myself wondering when something was going to happen and was completely shocked to reach the end only to still be waiting for something to happen. To short, poor writing, ok narrator, complete let down. Ill only read the next to in hope it gets better and I don't like leaving a story unfinished.
"Nothing good in this."
Waste of s credit for me. This is barely an introduction. Nothing interesting at all in this story. Author just put a few well known bounty hunters in here. Basic political bickering. No action. You don't learn anything new or interesting about this universe and author does not hook you enough to want to buy the next book. And I'm a HUGE Boba Fett fan.
"favorite star wars books brought to life"
one of my all time favorite star wars book trilogies brought to life. i could see it unfold in my mind like i was watching a movie. natration os top notch. bough5 all 3 books in the series and looking for more of the 1990s to mid 2000s star wars novels from bantha publishing
Would have been a good story WITHOUT the sound effects. Narrative was so so. thanks. Don't ask for a review then make it impossible to complete it ... Pathetic.
"Good over all"
Good beginning to a 3 part series.
Narration could be better though, other starwars audio books have great sound effects and the voices of characters are much better and easier to tell apart. But this story is good.
"not a star wars worthy book..."
no lore, good performance but failed to capture the true star wars theme. boba is far deeper than this story ever makes him feel. i really didn't feel anyone but bossk had good representation.
"Music is to loud"
Great book but the music and sound effects over power the narrator. Otherwise Anthony does a great job.
I really enjoyed it. A must for Boba Fett fans! Star Wars books are definitely the best! Especially when Boba Fett is in them!
"A great story"
I loved every bit of this book and the narration was fantastic! The sound effects added just one more element to this already fantastic tale of Bobba Fett
