Empowered with the magic of luck, the Master has no equal. At her command, the Dark has devoured half the globe. Entire nations have been erased, continents have vanished, and billions are dead. The desperate survivors have joined a worldwide evacuation to the Americas. Their hope died when the Oracle fell.
Yet they do not yield.
Inspired by the Oracle's defiance, mankind has chosen to fight. For them to triumph, they require a weapon - one that now walks the Dark, forgotten and lost. Battling hordes of fiends, he seeks to escape the cloud. Instead he finds a young woman, one who has fallen from the sky. Both are believed to be dead, and when they return one thing is certain.
The whole of the Earth will feel the impact.

Very big audible fan.
This audio book was as good as the first 3 and continued to build the storey into what is going to be an eppick final book. I enjoyed every minute of this storey and can't wait to start book 5. If you want a good storey then you are going to love this series.
I love everything with an excellent storyline...
The story is riveting and the narrator is excellent. I want to know what happens next.
The narration was brilliant.
The story, a continuation of the White Mage Saga, was as you would expect from Ben. Looking forward to the next in the series.
"I love this series, and this was the best volume."
It was non stop excitement.
It was extremely fast paced, with new challenges appearing at every turn, It is very well written, and you don't stop to question a book filled with magic and unbelievable characters.
Hawk. An iconic hero.
Absolutely. I had to force myself to stretch out the experience. I can't wait for the next volume.
This is the best, in my opinion, book in this series and if you are able to make it this far don't hesitate to purchase and listen to this book it's awesome.
"Harry Potter on steroids"
very good story nicely written I love the idea of the darkness has the ultimate Evil narration is one of the best
"loved everything about the store"
I cannot wait to listen to the final episode of this story it is in incredible ride and I will hate for it to end but I must know how the planet survives
This book is a great follow up to The White Mage Omnibus. It gave insight into many of the characters and helps move us towards a finish.
Good story with good reader. I'm continuously amazed when an author's grammar lacks the ability to know gerunds take possessive adjectives and prepositions take objective case pronouns. I guess I should just learn to live with it since it seems to be the way it is going to be but it just hurts my ears to hear it read
"Falling but not forgotten"
Impact of the Fallen is just as riveting as the first 3 books. Tess has challenged her mother and lost! The world can only watch as she free falls miles into the dark. Everyone thinks Tess, the one who is to deliver them, is dead. Everyone, except Derrick, he refuses. With encouragement from his friends, he keeps the White order growing, active in preparing for her return. But where is she? Why has noone heard from her? Even Hawk thinks her dead.
Derrick is the embodiment of someone madly in love, totally devastated about losing his beloved. He refuses to say Tess is dead, Derrick determines to speak only positive thoughts about Tess. He even leads attacks against the enemy, showing the kids at Triton that they may be young but far from stupid.
I think Tess' battle against herself is one of the most riveting scenes. When she went into the trial she found out that the lizard that would rip her apart by tasting her blood would be given her blood before the trial. Now she had to remember everything she has ever been taught to defeat this magical creature. For her blood gave the creature the same abilities she has.
Will the Dark consume the world with Tess being defeated?
"Obvious Literary Tools but Surprising Delivery"
A delightful and exuberant romp through the wide world of fantasy that the author has created. Though he has a somewhat repetitive descriptive style, he definitely captures the imagination and pushes for an undeniably sharp image for the reader in his words and the emotion behind each characters' experiences. Anyone who loves magic will enjoy this.
The story had no depth no twists or surprises, boring with lots of fight scenes .. not enough to hold my interest ... by the end of this book I just wanted it over ... no way am I listening to the last book , I just don't care anymore .. author drug this storyline out way to far .
"interesting story line."
enjoyed listening. there were a few places where the story felt rushed. nice to a female as hero. it's rare and I hope we get a movie
