disjointed with multiple narrators

enjoyed the story on my commute but the multiple narrators ruined it for me, not nearly as well produced as the first book... hoping the rest are not like this one

Good... but not as good as I hoped

After listening to Dune I decided to give the sequel a run for its money. I almost gave up at the start, but stuck with it. Eventually I got to the end and it was "OK". This is often the case with sequels and I now wish I had an abridged version!

Got me in the end

I'd listened to Dune about two years ago, so it took a while for me to re-learn all the characters in this book, but once I had done I got really back into it. No other sci-fi author really uses politics like Herbert, and I always loved the way we get to hear the thoughts of the characters as they say one thing and think another. Great ending too.

Not anywhere as near as good as b1

Not as long or interesting as book 1 but I guess if you intend to listen on you need this 1

Not as good as the first one

This book is read as well as the first one but the story is just not as good. I think it does not have the same drive and seems to rely too much on abstract thought concepts. Still worth listening if you liked the first book.

Not as good as the first Dune book

Very enjoyable but it lacks something that the first book had. It is far more abstract and self indulgent. It's still good but partly only as it brings back fond memories from the first one. The audible remake is great.

A heartbreaking torch passing masterpiece

It will be hard to say goodbye to Moadib however, I cannot wait to see what is in store for the children. Something not to be overlooked is the clear link between this series and psychedelics. Having read only 2 chapters of Dune, I googled “Frank Herbert magic mushrooms@ and wouldn’t you know it 😉 This series is not only a masterpiece but a blueprint for what our leaders could be if they only opened their eyes, Hearts and minds to the possibility of something more. Spellbinding stuff Franky boy! ❤️

A must read if you read Dune

What a fantastic book without a doubt one of the best sci-fi series ever created and I can’t wait for the rest of the movies to be released. Definitely worth the time to read/listen and absolutely fantastic sci-fi series so few sci-fi reaches this level
