It's been over two years since the zombie apocalypse changed the world. Zach Gunderson is still reeling after the brutal massacre of most of his loved ones and the abduction of his two children. There is only one person in his life now: Kelly, the sole survivor of the massacre. The two of them have carved out an existence for themselves, but in spite of Kelly's steadfast devotion, Zach finds himself questioning the purpose of trying to survive in a postapocalyptic world.

enjoying the story of Zack but getting samey. Bad people not so bad people not much zed action. but what does the leader have planned. (echoes of walking dead. but not too much)
"I want more"
Loved this book so much now I'm chomping at the bit for more keep up the great work mr. Achord
"Let Down Compared to Previous Books"
I am a huge fan of this series, but this book fell flat in a lot of ways for me. It was very slow and never really had any of the high points the other books brought. The ending was especially anticlimactic. I'm anxious to see if/where the story goes from here. However this segment felt much more like a filler than a book to stand on its own. On the plus side, great narration as usual.
"All the books were Excellent to listen to."
From the Author to the Narrator they made all the books in this series worth listening to. I would follow Zack in a zombie apocalypse anytime.
"Probably my favorite series in the genre!"
Great continuation of the story. After the last book I was on tenterhooks the first hour with regards to the characters (if you've read it, you'll understand why - no spoilers), it is amazing how quickly and seamlessly the author weaves old and new characters into his story. The plots never disappoint and I'm ALWAYS left wanting more at the end.
This genre is never really about the actual "zombies/plague" etc, it's about how the characters evolve and what life is like in the midst of such things. David Achord brings these aspects together so well.
"male teenage storyline"
Listened to the entire series, more than a little tired of the teenage sex thought process
"Can't be the end!!!!"
Been a fan of the series since I book one!! I truly hope that Mr. Gunserson returns.
I've listened to all of the books in this series and I'm looking forward to the next one. the narration is very good. the characters are interesting and are believable, at least as believable as anything can be in a story about a Zombie apocalypse , and I'm interested in what happens to them next.
"not as good as the others"
I believe the author did a lot better job in his previous books the storyline and this one was ok. And always the narrator did a great job
"For the fans only"
I heard that this was the last book in the series, which makes me sad. I really enjoyed following the story of Z. I thought for sure the story would go differently than it did, but I enjoyed all of it. If you didn't like the previous books, you probably won't like this one. Z has matured, he still fucks nonstop but he is handling things a bit differently. I give it a solid 4 stars.
"David Achord once again rocks the Zombie World"
I've read every zombie book written by mr. Achord in his zombie series. love every single one!! keep up the great work David. you keep writing, I'll keep buying and reading!!
