Old School

This is well written and very detailed, old style horror from way back, not bad but needed more... something!

Clever, But Didn't Do It for Me

This was another case of well-written and an interesting idea well executed, but not one that significantly piqued my interest. I think I get why so many people love it and understand that its impact is somewhat lessened for me from when it was written.

I'd be lying if my hatred of pro-slavery scum, execution, and any kind of revelling in the death and suffering of even the worst people didn't effect my ability to connect with the story or care about just how clever the use of language and allusions are (some of it is very on the nose to be honest).

What a different type of short story

Enjoyed this for a short story inbetween my other longer listens. It’s a 4 star rating from me. Listened as I walked my dog for 20 minutes. Very much enjoyed. Had it been longer,I would have rated a 5 star review.

A little gem

This self-contained little story was an unexpected gem. Well read and complete. It's worth a listen.

Classic tale

Beautifully performed re-telling of a classic piece of American gothic. Should be listened to in the dark, under a gibous moon ! Really enjoyable version that will follow you into your dreams after finishing...
