Summary
Hunters of Dune finally meet the Enemy who followed the violent fanatics the Honored Matres back to their universe. The thinking machines vanquished by Serena Butler's jihad were not destroyed, only driven into exile - and now, tens of thousands of years later, they are back. Can the resurrected heroes onboard the Ithaca save our race from annihilation?

Wrap up job
Bye bye to Dune a book too far for me a lot of karate and robots however the novelists were trying to tie up the loose ends so kudos for that

The end of an epic journey
Reaching the end of this epic journey was bitter sweet. Scott Brick was excellent as ever and the writers brought together the threads in a way I think Frank Herbert would have approved of. All that might be left for me to do is start again at the beginning.

excellent and I hope there is more
I love all the Dune books but I especially like those written by Brian Herbert and Kevin Anderson. the story flows and you are engaged by the characters without too much philosophising which Frank Herbert does and I dont enjoy his books as much.

Not the same but amazing
I loved the ending and thought it was fitting but some say it was pandering to the audience. Listen and find out for yourself but I thought it was amazing.

A fine conclusion.
As usual Scott Brick's narration was excellent. Nice twist with regard to the Kwisatch Haderach. This is a very good way to finish the Dune saga if like me you have followed the continuing story by Kevin J Anderson and Brian Herbert. Thank you gentlemen for giving the fans of the original stories a fitting conclusion.

Nice twist at the end
Great story and nice twist at the end. Took A bit longer than necessary to tie up all the lose ends though.

Huge let down.
I’m devastated at how poor the last 3 hours of this book are…
This is by far the worst book in the series, with a huge, epic build up that leads to absolutely nothing but convoluted garbage. The only saving grace is Scott Bricks narration.
The Kwisatz Haderach “twist” was appalling, and was one of the biggest let downs in this entire series…

A widely mediocre fanfiction
A sloppily written and plotted disaster that fails at fan service and feels more like a finale for the Butlarian Jihad series than a true Dune finale

Disappointing
Frank Herbert wrote so brilliantly unfortunately Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson do a massive disservice to his legacy. This book reads like badly written fan fiction. Sad.
