Summary

Best-selling author Scott Hahn sheds new light on the Mass, offering readers a deeper appreciation of the most familiar of Catholic rituals.

Of all things Catholic, there is nothing that is so familiar as the Mass. With its unchanging prayers, the Mass fits Catholics like their favorite clothes. Yet most Catholics sitting in the pews on Sundays fail to see the powerful supernatural drama that enfolds them. Pope John Paul II described the Mass as "heaven on earth", explaining that what "we celebrate on earth is a mysterious participation in the heavenly liturgy."

The Lamb's Supper reveals a long-lost secret of the Church: The early Christians' key to understanding the mysteries of the Mass was the New Testament Book of Revelation. With its bizarre imagery, its mystic visions of heaven, and its end-of-time prophecies, Revelation mirrors the sacrifice and celebration of the Eucharist.

Beautifully written, in clear direct language, best-selling Catholic author Scott Hahn's new book will help readers see the Mass with new eyes, pray the liturgy with a renewed heart, and enter into the Mass more fully, enthusiastically, intelligently, and powerfully than ever before.

Critic reviews

"Hahn's enthusiasm...is considerable - and infectious. Furthermore, he delivers his arguments with great levity (demonstrated in chapter titles such as "Oath Meal"), which makes The Lamb's Supper quite a tasty read." (Amazon.com review)

How the Mass relates to Revelations.

Absolutely excellent book which has given me a totally new perspective on the Mass. It views Revelations as actually speaking about the Mass. And rather than Revelations being about end time prophecy it's about how Christ has overcome the world through his sacrifice.

A must read for any anyone interested in the Catholic Faith. The experience of the author is sometimes overwhelming as he reads his own words with such passion.

Great listen

Great listen, especially the explanations of the mass. Goes off a wee bit when it speaks about the book of Revelations - I found this part hard to follow when driving to work.
On a whole though this is a great audio book.

brilliant

I started to read books by this author on the recommendation of my Priest. This is the first audio version I have tried and it is great it allows you to enter into the spirit of what the book is teaching in am even deeper way. If all his books were available on audible I would choose to access this way

Eucharist is Heaven on Earth

The book of revelation symbols are lined up well with the Holy Eucharist. Give this book a read!

Good Spiritual Guide

Well written to draw souls to the right path. The central place of the Mass is clarified and souls are invited and guided to participate fully in it, in the opportunity to collaborate with Jesus Christ in the sacrifice that wrought our salvation.
Thank you Scott Hahn.
