Summary

When forced into a corner, there is only one thing to do: rebel!

The Misfits have been rebuilding Darkthorn Academy in their new home deep in the Ancient Lands, but as much as they want to live in peace, the Quarnon want to destroy them.

As the Quarnon creates chaos across the world, Jack and the Misfits decide to fight back. Can this group of misfits defeat the power-hungry Dixon family and their cronies? Or will the Empire finally find a way to kill Jack and the rest of the Misfits?

Poor narration & Poor writing.

Narration:
Narrator has pauses that are felt when shift between characters, it almost feels like he is doing line checks between vocals and has forgotten to edit them out of the final result, he also uses the wrong words a couple dozen times leading to my suspicion that this wasn't editted before hand.

Writing:
Simply reads like a middle school students first attempt at a novel or by an amatuer, far too many/poorly used action verbs which frankly are not needed example: "They have arrived" Talia announced or "I dont know" Jack said, the overuse of this writing mechanism in these books really chafes the immersion for me, the constant perspective changes are a little annoying as well.

Summary:
The bones of a great story but poorly executed seemingly written by a child, if one were to cut out the second long pauses from the narrator and superfluous writing, I think you could probably shave a few hours of the total listening time off, there is very little of cultivation/leveling or adventuring in this one, this all seems to have been forgotten as well as the introduced base building element, in short nothing really happens until the end, you could skip to the last few hours and not miss a thing.
