Summary

Are you depressed, or are you suffering from depression? 

Everybody feels low sometimes. However, that's not the same as suffering from depression. Unlike normal sadness, clinical depression lasts for weeks, months, or even years. If your life has permanently changed and you feel like you have lost yourself somewhere along the way, it may be depression. Depression is a real illness. It has to be treated correctly.

Before diagnosing depression, it's important to rule out any other possible reasons for these symptoms. Some physical illnesses, such as thyroid problems, brain tumor, and Parkinson's disease, create a similar picture. That's why your doctor will want to check your physical health first. Once you are diagnosed with depression, the treatment can begin.

Although things may seem utterly black to you, you should know that you are not alone. Depression is one of the most common mental illnesses in the world. Fortunately, it's also one of the most treatable conditions. There is hope, the healing is possible, and you don't have to live with depression forever.

In this depression workbook for adults, we will define several types of depression, such as major depression, persistent depressive disorder, psychotic depression, postpartum depression, seasonal affective disorder, and bipolar disorder. Bipolar disorder is not actually a form of depression, but it's included here because a person who suffers from it experience alternates between episodes of mania, extremely high mood, and depression.

Fantastic job.

This audiobook is the real deal for those who want to make changes in their mental health for good. It is clear, to the point and provides simple advises that inspire self-application of the main points. I had personally used the info in it to help pull myself out of the slippery slope when I recognized it coming.

This is an outstanding book.

This is a great audio edition to fight depression. It offers easy to understand techniques from food to hobbies that help in fighting depression. Well written and narrated guide. I also checked the "Mental Hygiene" book from the same author. Recommended!

Very eye-opening & helpful for those suffering from depression. It is soundly listen, with experience and knowledge of how depression can affect anyone, anytime — highly recommended. You can overcome it! There is hope!

Good job.

It's hard to find an audiobook or even book on depression that is neither a long anecdote nor a dry, clinical study. This audiobook is both honest and objective, profoundly affecting and challenging, personal and practical. I gained valuable knowledge of how I can process through my own depression and how I can explain to someone else. Often, one of the most challenging aspects of dealing with depression is the frustration of not being able to adequately convey it to someone who doesn't suffer from it. I think I will refer them to this book from now on!

An extremely helpful listen.

I learned so much from this book. Not only did I determine what depression really is, I learned what it is not. A little surprised there. Plus I learned many simple, easy-to-implement steps to help yourself in dealing with depression in my daily life and prevention. An extremely helpful listen.

Excellent audiobook .

This is an excellent audiobook about this issue. Very glad that I purchased it. It is helping me work through mindfulness and depression. This book lays out a definite and distinctive method for understanding and dealing with depression. Very grateful my counselor suggested this workbook and the book itself.
