I always loved David Suchet in Hercule Poirot Listening to him reading the Bible, in my opinion, took him to the highest level of his talent.

This translation is well read by David Suchet. The recording has no background music, and I prefer it this way. Background effects can be distracting.

Bibles on Audible are not normally very navigable, because the chapters are not very easy to find. However, with the Bible in a year, this doesn't matter, as it's only meant to be heard sequentially.

Each day you have a passage from the Psalms or Proverbs, then from the New Testament, then the Old Testament, each in separate tracks for easy access. It was only on finishing Genesis that I realised the OT readings are not arranged in Bible chapter order -- we jump to Job after Genesis. It will be interesting to hear how the material is arranged over the year. An advantage of listening daily is that one hears passages that are unfamiliar - I've never listened to or read through Job, for instance. Mr Suchet reads with different tones for different material, so the Psalms may have a low-voiced intimate tone, as if you were listening in on someone's private prayers. Other passages are similarly nuanced. Highly recommended, a bargain if you use a credit, and especially worthwhile if you set yourself to listen daily.

When ordering I read reviews that there are no names or titles just chapter 1, 2 and so on, and that only lady reads what it is, when plays.

Chapters are not in order, which makes this audiobook impossible to customise reading, there is no guide, I would like to have classic order at least book title in chapters and normal order. Instead you listen to fragment from old testament and then new testament in a third chapter.

Sadly this is not complete Bible as only part of Old Testament told. Otherwise no complaints.
