Great mix of stories.
I love the fact that the best Poirot, Hastings and Marple narrate a broad brush of the great lady's short stories which show how expensive her story telling was, and how excellent (and atrociously underrated) her authorship. Give my Christie and Simenon over all other writers in the detective genre.

Stories taken from other collections
Good stories but I already own most of them in other collections. Worth investigating the contents, next time.

*Chef's Kiss*
Classic Christie read by some of the most recognisable voices of Marple, Poirot, and Hastings.
Astoundingly written and perfectly read, these stories transport the reader into the world of Agatha Christie, the sleepy little English villages, the civilised London of the early to mid 20th Century, and the great houses populated by the upper crust and their constant backdrop of servants, butlers, and hangers on. Even 100 years after her first novel being published, Christie delights, mystifies, and gently confuses right up until the moment of denouement when all is gloriously revealed and the reader is left wondering how they missed the clues so expertly strewn throughout the tale.

Most enjoyable
Loved having the original actors doing the narration. Loved them all and they did an amazing job, with this book and on the TV adaptations

These AC stories are wonderfully brought to life by (in my opinion) the best narrators of AC adventures. Brilliant just Brilliant

Top narrators elevate average stories
A curious and slightly disjointed selection of stories - some with only the slightest link to Midsummer. As an AC fan I can think of better stories linked to summer, such as Triangle at Rhodes or The Companion.
As the stories also feature in other collections I suspect that the popular characters featured here are being used to introduce readers to AC’s lesser known stand alone and adventure style short stories. Unfortunately those stories just don’t stand the test of time like those featuring Miss Marple and Poirot.
Had I bought this collection as a physical book I would have been disappointed, however the superlative narrators really elevated my experience. I will return to some (though probably not all) of these stories next summer.

Mixed bag
As an Agatha Christie fan I bought this book as a BOGOF an as others have said some of the stories are available elsewhere. On the whole okay passed the time when dog walking and nice to hear Joan’s voice again.
