A fost odată ca niciodată un prinţ, nu mai mare, dar nici mai mic decât un băieţel ca toţi băieţeii, care trăia singur pe o planetă mititică, departe de Pământ. Și poate că nu i-am fi aflat povestea dacă într-o bună zi pe planeta lui n-ar fi răsărit, pe nepusă masă, o floare. Iar floarea a prins să vorbească cu micul prinţ, și vorbele ei l-au încântat și l-au întristat în aceeași măsură, fiindcă i-au dezvăluit că dincolo de lumea așa cum o știe el se află încă multe-multe alte lumi. Și micul prinţ, cuprins de curiozitate, a pornit prin univers, străbătând planetă după planetă să-și facă prieteni, să cunoască și să înveţe.
