Summary

This marriage of convenience is about to get sticky.

Getting hitched for the health insurance is not Jocelyn Asher's idea of romance.

But the hospital quote has really frosted her cookies, and suddenly, "I'm rich. We should just get married", sounds a whole lot more swoony.

Especially when the man proposing is this gorgeous. And takes her to parties featuring champagne and petit fours. She's a sucker for anything with bubbles or icing. And just like that she finds herself married to a near stranger.

Grant Lorre is usually allergic to spontaneity.

So why did he ask the beautiful small-town baker he had a one-night stand with to marry him? Somehow watching her lick batter off a whisk - not a euphemism - made a wedding and a little fraud seem like a sweet idea.

They'll just play house and make some whoopie - pies, of course - for a few months and then move on with their separate lives. Until then, bring on the cream filling. And that is a euphemism.

But as things heat up even outside of the kitchen, they quickly realize there's no recipe to follow when it comes to love.

falling in love

Jocy and Grant can be more different but they feel a powerful attraction and connection. Can they realise they need each other and fall madly in love? Erin Nicholad has a way to show feelings, deep emotions and you can't help but fall in love with all her stories and her characters. And the audiobooks, with excellens narratots, are even better.

Sweet & Savory

Wow this made me hungry! Not just for sweets either, because, yes, cheesy potatoes can definitely be sexy. Things heat up very quickly between our couple. Once they know their feelings are mutual it’s full steam ahead. It was a nice change from the slow burns I’ve become used to. Yet, despite the speed, their feelings develop organically. The lust turns to love.

All the while, Josie & Grant are both growing individually. Grant learns to love and to balance his protectiveness with his need to let the women in his life shine. Josie gains confidence and self-worth. While she also learns about romantic love, she takes steps to become a better friend as well.

Also, I am so excited for Paige’s book now. I just adore her and her love for wellness and cats.

Book 3

Opposites attract
Oh my! This is my favorite book of the series so far. There are more books to come in this series though (wink wink) The characters are great. They have great friendships and families. Grant and Jocelyn got together quickly but it ended up being for convenience. Not a lot of angst. HEA. I love the narration. I love this series. I definitely recommend these books!

Fantastic

And to think I thought the first two were the best of this series. I was sorely mistaken because the author decided to throw in a really well done marriage of convenience with more chemistry than should be allowed in one book. I loved this and I have my fingers and toes crossed for another book. Especially with these narrators as they just add that last amazing layer to how much I love this series
