Madeleine Albright was the U.S. secretary of state from 1997 to 2001- the first woman elected to that post. She is the author of the best selling books Madam Secretary, The Mighty and the Almighty: Reflections on America, God, and World Affairs, and Memo to the President Elect: How We Can Restore America's Reputation and Leadership.
