I didn't think it would work

To be honest, I was a bit sceptical because I always thought that strength training is not a great way to lose weight. But the author explained everything so well and it really makes sense that this works. Great audiobook for beginners if you want to get toned while also becoming stronger and more confident.

Great Book.

This audiobook is fantastic. The author is a nutritionist who offers advice on how to slim down and tone up. Something that she has experienced for herself. She begins by mentioning how strength training may help one shed pounds by simultaneously reducing fat and increasing muscular mass. She also suggests combining it with aerobic, power, and cardiovascular training for optimal fat burning and muscle gain. She provides extensive information on strength training, including where to begin and what to do. And how the time spent recuperating after strength training is crucial since that's when muscular growth occurs. Then she goes on to detail the many tiers of strength training and how to execute each one correctly while keeping safety in mind. She then shifts her attention to intuitive fasting, a method of weight loss that combines intermittent fasting with a customised eating plan. She also gives you plenty of weight-loss-friendly recipes and tips on how to eat healthier. Wow, this is a fantastic audiobook for becoming and staying in shape.

good guidance


This book is incredibly useful for someone starting with strength training. It explains the basics in an uncomplicated way and guides how to create a routine that suits your individual needs. Furthermore, it advises on how to progress safely, as well as tips on diet and hydration when engaging in strength training. Overall, this book is an excellent resource for anyone just starting out.

Slim down and stay fit.

What a great audiobook. The author, a nutritionist, discusses how to lose weight while getting toned. Something she has personally done in her own life. She starts off discussing strength training to lose weight, it burns fat while building muscle. She also discusses mixing this with cardiovascular, aerobic, and power exercises to enhance weight loss and muscle building. She goes deep into strength training, how to start it, and what to do. And how resting after strength training is so important as that is when you actually build muscle. Then she discusses the different levels of strength training and how to do it right, keeping safety the main concern. Next, she focuses on intuitive fasting, which uses intermittent fasting plus a special diet to lose additional weight. She also provides information on nutrition and many recipes that you can use to help lose weight. What a great audiobook, definitely something you can use to slim down and stay fit.

Strengthening your inner self

I'm a big fan of strength training having been doing it now for the last 6 years. I have a routine that I created just for myself but with the information contained in this book, I will now be adding a little more and different exercises to it. As I am older now, I have been able to keep the weight off and strengthen my body core, and legs. This is a great book for beginners to learn some of the basics and how to get started and to keep it going for weight loss, good health, and a more confident you.

A well-developed approach

I love how the author emphasizes the importance of strength training AND diet to achieve the desired body goals. This book is well-written, and simple enough to be understood by beginners and intermediates alike. The meal ideas were absolutely divine, and I enjoyed feeling like I could get it done. I know staying consistent may be difficult, but with the other exercise options to be incorporated into the exercise regimen, there is no chance of quitting because of boredom. I really did enjoy this one.

Great for the self-sufficient type

Invaluable resource for those of us who can't afford a personal training. I loved learning about strength training, I was even able to create my work weekly workout plan with the weights and supplies (workout stuff) I already have at home. I'm pretty stoked now that I understand and will be able to get slimmer in the comfort of my own home!!

Opened my eyes

This audiobook is really great for beginners, it shows you how to start working out and get tougher over time. I learned that lifting weights can even make your brain work better, which was a cool surprise. The book is written in a way that's easy to understand and follow and all the information is really well put together.

It's great to learn why strength training is my ultimate weight-loss solution, different types of strength training to try, tips to create my own training routine, and many more.
