Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

There are two sides to every story.

Husband and wife Archie and Francine Hughes are heroes in their hometown of Philadelphia. Archie is a football star, while Francine is a Grammy-winning singer.

So everyone is in a state of shock when news breaks about the seemingly perfect couple.

One spouse is murdered. The other is Suspect Number One.

Even before the case hits the courtroom, it's the hottest ticket in town. For the defence: Cooper Lamb, private investigator to the stars. For the prosecution: Veena Lion, an attorney so bright she's got to wear shades.

Between them, they know every secret in the Hughes household. Together, they prove how two wrongs can make a right.

I found it difficult to follow

Didn’t finish it as kept losing off. I’m sure it would be good just my brain didn’t work for the way it was read.

Lion & Lamb

Worse book I’ve ever half listened to. Really not worth the credit. I do not recommend and I love James Patterson.

Truly terrible

Not even sure I can bother to finish this. The story seems to have all the ingredients to be a very good whodunnit but a lot of the narrative is infantile. I can't believe James Patterson put his name to this. There is so much padding and fluff, many pointless conversations between one of the main characters and his young children. A lot of exaggerated narrative. I wonder if the target audience is very young teenagers. A really good editor could have sharpened this up and made it into a legal thriller. I may persevere til the end as I am on holiday.

Dreadful

I love James Patterson books, but why are there so many with Co-authors where such silly writing styles are used. I no longer know what I’m getting. Will be returning.

IDIOTIC robot voice really detracts

The story is ok and a fairly easy listen but the IDIOTIC robot style voice they have used to introduce transcripts in the story is just ridiculous, very detracting and distracting, and sadly it’s on every other chapter. Whilst this may work on paper, it definitely does not translate to audio. Disappointing.

Over talking

The description on certain chapters of who was talking was most annoying it totally took away the enjoyable listening I usually associate with his books, disliked greatly.
