Decent for bridging beginner to intermediate
It's not made clear here, but you can get the associated PDF from Audible.com: http://download.audible.com/product_related_docs/BK_NTGL_000339.pdf (If this link breaks go to audible.COM, sign in, your .co.uk credentials should work, and search for the book - there is a link to the pdf in the summary description on the book's page.
As for the book itself, it is very dated - the whole thing was recorded 30 years ago, and you can tell. However it does throw a reasonable amount of vocab at you while keeping the pronunciation relatively slow and clear. If you've mastered how to say "hello, my name is Lala, I live in England and the weather is raining", this will raise the bar a bit.

Not useful
This comes without any book to download along side which makes completing the course impossible. I will look elsewhere to begin my attempt to learn French!

This is a superb way to learn
If you could sum up The Accelerated Learning French System in three words, what would they be?
This is fantastic to learn from.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Accelerated Learning French System?
The pdf (which has finally been included) makes this one of the best ways of learning French on the planet.I cannot recommend it too highly.
What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
The character and feel of the whole thing is enhanced by the audio and comlemented by the pdf file.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me want to go to France now to try out my French.

Get it and don't hesitate. If you want a full on immersion experience and added extras from beginner to intermediate, this is it.

Ridiculous
Erm... am I missing something? The whole book is in French apart from the opening prologue. Are we supposed to be following a book at the same time? Lots of relaxation techniques and the background music is so loud you can't hear the speech anyway. Definitely the weirdest audio book I've ever attempted to listen to. Will be requesting a refund

The best language course I have come across
This is a great way to learn a language. By using Audible you can listen to the language wherever you may be, and with the ability to change the speed of the audio this is better than buying the CDs. The accompanying classical music at various stages of an act it is a calming way to learn a language. Each time you listen to the same act you gain a little bit more information until you fully understand or at least get the gist of the story. I have bought the accompanying book as I like to see the text as well as listen although most of my learning so far has been without the book as I'm usually learning on the go. Definitely worth downloading the free trial to see what you think!

Excellent for learning or improving your French
Takes some effort but well worth it. The story is set out in acts and the complexity and difficulty of the language used increases in every act. The story has been designed to cover all the most commonly used expressions in French and if you follow the instructions you can learn a lot of French from this method. I also tried languagetransfer.og and French with Paul Noble which were for me a great start before I started this 'Accelerated French'.
I have only been studying French for a few weeks, doing a bit every day but I can already speak and understand a heck of a lot.
I would say there are many methods to learn French and all are not suited to every learning style. I quite like to combine different methods and that works for me. This is just one method that I found unique and very useful.
