Summary

Tara is a War Lady, one of 13 elite female warriors who protect the War Queen. She is unlike any of the others - unbeknownst to anyone else, Tara has an enchanted tattoo that warns her of danger. She is sent to retrieve the War King of a neighboring country, Luka, and his brother, Loxxley. Trials and tribulations hound every step of their journey, right up until the moment that they realize their betrayal will be at the hands of those they trust the most.

Good entertaining story

I liked the story, enjoyable and entertaining. The author has created an interesting world. The writing is good if a little light on some things, I would have liked longer more detailed fight scenes. The descriptions are good, the story is well paced with good main characters. The narration is good apart from some strange wrong words used by the narrator. Violation instead of volition is the one that sticks out the most. However I will be definitely following the story through to see what happens. I received a complimentary copy from the narrator and am leaving a honest voluntary review.

A good Short Story, with legs.

This is a good story, I will certainly buy the follow-up to see where it goes.

I enjoyed the idea of it, and the way it was written.  The only jarring note were some really weird word errors by the narrator, such as
"My hand moved to the hilt of my sword at it's own violation" instead of volition.

I'm looking forward to more adventures with Tara, and to see where things go with her and Loxley.
